A 2022 Gallup Poll focusing on the 22 percent of women who now claim to own weapons is highlighted in a Fox News broadcast on the rising rate of female gun ownership.
From a rate of 15% in 2016, the 22 percent represented an increase of seven points.
Jessica McCoy was shooting a Daniel Defense AR-15 when she talked with Fox News from a shooting range in Washington state.
McCoy made it obvious that she is taking shooting lessons so she can protect her family and house while her husband is away.
In her words, “When he has left, I do not have that assurance or comfort of someone who knows exactly how to physically operate a gun to defend me against an intruder or somebody who seeks to harm us.”
Lisa Olson was interviewed by Fox News as well since she registered for gun training.
Olson recalled confronting one of the neighborhood’s two robbers and asking, “What could I do against two men? We require something a bit stronger that can help defend us since we’re women and not as powerful.”
On April 24, Breitbart News cited a CNN investigation that revealed women were buying more guns after the shootings at the Nashville Christian school on March 27 and the bank assault in Louisville on April 10.
According to CNN, Dr. Matt Miller of Northeastern University stated that “Sometime between 2016 and 2019, the new firearm owners were much more inclined to be female and Black than earlier to that and, whether or not it’s in reaction to feeling like things have gotten out of control, or that the nation is truly divided, that is an easy speculation to make.”
Every law abiding citizen should be able to carry without a government interference in that right to make criminals think twice to go unhinged in this country!

I’d rather have 12 men judging me than 6 men carrying me and it’s unfortunate that it’s come to that and I agree with you 100% that if they want to prove that taking away legal guns will lower gun violence then they should lead by example by disarming the Secret Service FIRST and see how safe they feel!
