Another Poll Proves Donald Trump Is America’s Top Choice

According to a nationwide poll, the majority of prospective Republican primary voters would like former President Donald Trump to be the party’s nominee in 2024 because he has twice the support of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

According to the most recent survey in Morning Consult’s GOP primary tracker, 52 percent of likely GOP primary voters intend to support Trump. No other candidate receives more than ten percent of the vote. DeSantis is in second position with 26 percent.

Former Vice President Mike Pence has 7% of the vote, followed by former Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC), who has 5%, and former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY), who has 3%. Two percent of voters back Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is reportedly getting closer to running for president.

One percent of the vote goes to former secretary of state Mike Pompeo, anti-woke inventor Vivek Ramaswamy, and governors Glenn Youngkin of Virginia, Gregg Abbott of Texas, and Kristi Noem of South Dakota. Breitbart News was informed over the weekend by a reliable source that Trump’s team is still working to secure Abbott’s support. On Saturday, Trump revealed several endorsements from his Texas leadership team.

The range of error for this question is plus or minus two percentage points.

In comparison to earlier Morning Consult polls, Trump now has a sizable advantage. Early in January, he had a 45 to 34 percent lead over DeSantis; by late February, that lead had grown to 18 points. The pattern persisted into March, when Trump boasted leads of 28 points in a poll published on March 21 and of 24 points in one released on March 14.

Supporters of Trump and DeSantis were questioned by Morning Consult about who their alternate candidate would be. 42 percent of those who support DeSantis, who hasn’t declared his candidacy, say Trump is their second option, and another 19 percent say they’d support Haley. In that case, Pence receives 14% of DeSantis’ votes. Concerning who they would select, 4% are unsure.

DeSantis is the second choice of 46% of Trump supporters, while Pence is preferred by 19%. A further 5% believe Haley is a strong alternative, while 16% are unsure. The survey’s second-choice component has a plus or negative two to three percentage point margin of error.

The survey also revealed that in their respective hypothetical general election head-to-head contests among more than 5,000 registered voters, candidates Trump and DeSantis are statistically tied with President Joe Biden.

With 43 percent to 42 percent, Biden leads Trump by a razor-thin edge that is within the error range of plus or minus one percentage point. In the hypothetical election, 5% of voters are unsure, and 11% would support a different contender. With a margin of error, Biden just barely beats DeSantis 42 percent to 41 percent. In that situation, 11% of respondents would support a different candidate, while 7% are unsure.

According to Morning Consult Senior Reporter Eli Yokley, 3,528 potential Republican primary voters were included in the survey’s Republican primary sections, which “includes all registered voters that said they intend to vote in the Republican presidential primary or caucus in their state in 2024.” All samples were taken between March 24 and March 26.

  1. I have read in a book that “—– raise kings up and remove them. Now I do not recall if that is the direct verbiage or not. However, now I have heard we are fighting a war of “Good vs Evil. I have stated to my family that I would be surprised if there is an election in 2024. Each of us must make our own decision, please remember that not making a decision is really a decision. I will always be for the good side even if it means that they may not continue at the top of the battle.
The poll indicates that some are moving in it while others are doing the opposite. My question today is do you know where your side is?
