The fiscal year 2022 tax returns of Joe and Jill Biden have been made public, and they provide insight into the personalities of the White House occupants. The First Family earned a combined $579,514 in gross income, according to Townhall, and paid an effective tax rate of 23% as a result.
But when analyzing the data from the returns, what the Bidens didn’t pay stands out the most. They specifically donated very little to charity. The Bidens barely donated 3% of their substantial income to people in need, according to their tax records.
“The first lady received $82,335 for her job as a lecturer at Northern Virginia Community College, compared to Biden’s $400,000 compensation. The two paid a 23.8 percent effective federal income tax rate, according to papers made public by the White House.”
“The Beau Biden Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sure children are safe from the danger of abuse, received the highest donation from the Bidens—$5,000—of the more than $20,000 they gave to 20 nonprofits.”
Maybe I am too simple a guy, but I believe that if your entire political platform revolves around using government coercion to extract money from the populace in order to purportedly aid the less fortunate, you have to have a proven track record of doing it freely in your own life. But like every other Dem. president within recent memory, the Bidens are hypocrites who complain about not doing enough to help the average guy while doing very little themselves.
Additionally, the Beau Biden Foundation received 25% of the roughly $20,000 donated to charity. I’m not sure how legitimate of a charity it is in terms of how much is actually allocated to fulfill its claimed objective. But it’s noteworthy that a sizable portion of the total little amount they donate to charity isn’t even going to outside organizations.
It’s also important to note that Joe Biden has consistently criticized tax breaks and claimed that the rich don’t pay their fair share, much like virtually all elected Democrats. However, given that he and his wife paid an effective tax rate that was far lower than the tax band they are really in, it is obvious that the Bidens are more than glad to utilize such exemptions and deductions for their own gain. Who could ever have predicted it to be the case?
