As we already reported this week, troubled Joe Biden had a lengthy interview with TIME, and it was just as you would have expected. It fulfilled all of your expectations. It was everything you had anticipated.
To put it another way, the interview was a complete bust. Delectably so. Joe’s ideal.
Naturally, there were the standard lies that Biden keeps repeating, such as the one about how, according to a recent fact-check by CNN, inflation was at 9% when he began office. (At the time of Biden’s inauguration, the inflation rate was roughly 1.4% annually.)
Additionally, as TIME pointed out, the bewildered president once mistook Chinese dictator Xi Jinping for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin while pitifully trying to defend his new taxes on a number of Chinese commodities.
However, Biden’s use of muddled and complex names is standard. What stands out more from this interview are his misinformed responses to his tariff plan. The $18 billion deal includes imports of steel and aluminum, along with Chinese electric vehicles, solar panels, and semiconductors. Here’s Joe:
“You must have a 51 percent Chinese owner if you wish to conduct business in China. You must grant them access to all of your intellectual property. They occasionally use other strategies, such as cyber espionage, to simply steal. Furthermore, it has extensive documentation and worldwide recognition. These kinds of strategies don’t involve competition. It’s not a rivalry. It is deceitful.
There is nothing in Biden’s remarks that I disagree with. I disagree with his statement to TIME that the tariffs won’t affect American customers’ costs. Either he was lying, misinformed, or he didn’t know what he was talking about. Once more, Joe:
“No, since this is the situation. Something is different. I have made it clear to Putin from the beginning that neither I nor we are involved in this. Trump, for instance, wants to impose a 10% tariff on everything. “As a result, everything in America will become more expensive.”
Nonsense, but it won’t take long for us to arrive.
Biden dug even further after going on to say—inaccurately—that the tariffs will let the US “play by the same rules” as China. He then brought up the subject of China’s 51 percent ownership requirement, which has nothing to do with the tariff argument.
We’re merely stating that we will carry out your request if you so want. Furthermore, you cannot manipulate the market to sell an excessive number of electric vehicles, which would undermine China’s capacity to address the issue. Furthermore, we won’t tolerate it.”

Working from home, I earn $165 per hour. When my neighbor told me she was now making an average of $95, I was very astonished, but now (ubd-83) I understand how it works. I now have a great deal of freedom thanks to becoming my own employer.
