The White House Correspondents Association patted itself on the back by handing the leader in fake news an award for coverage of an over-the-top raid on a senior citizen. Making the move even less reputable, CNN didn’t even engage in investigative journalism to uncover the pre-dawn circus. It was deliberately leaked by Deep State operatives at the James Comey-run FBI.
CNN was handed the Merriman Smith Memorial Award for Excellence in Presidential News Coverage Under Deadline Pressure For Broadcast for being tipped off to by the FBI to be on the scene of the most outlandishly unnecessary show of force in American history to arrest Republican political strategist and self-proclaimed “Dirty Trickster” Roger Stone.
“I was arrested when 29 heavily armed FBI agents stormed my home in the pre-dawn hours of Jan. 25 for a non-violent, white-collar process crime — six of them allegedly,” Stone reportedly said. “It was really a Gestapo-style raid, and lo and behold, CNN just happens to get there 14 minutes before the FBI to set up a camera tripod.”
The fake news organization had been leading the charge to falsely condemn President Donald Trump for colluding with Russia. A two-year witch hunt cost taxpayers upwards $32 million with Democrats refusing to accept the probe’s findings that neither the president nor any of his campaign advisors worked with Russian operatives. What everyday Americans have learned is that a small group of corrupt FBI officials attempted to upend the Trump Campaign and undermine the president’s agenda. Handing CNN an award for being in bed with disgraced ex-FBI chief James Comey dishonors honest journalists everywhere and casts a shadow on even credible news reports by others.
“Sara Murray, who is a correspondent for CNN, at 6:05 (a.m.), five minutes after I’ve been arrested, emails a draft of my indictment, which is sealed at that point, which has no PACER, or court markings on it, or timestamp, but this is the first my lawyer hears of it,” Stone reportedly said. “Therefore, you have absolute proof that CNN knew of my arrest and indictment prior to the documents being signed at 9:30 in the morning by a magistrate in D.C.”
Stone, a GOP political campaign advisor enjoys a long-standing relationship with the president that predates his run for office. Known as an eccentric and emotional personality, Stone reportedly tweeted quotes from “The Godfather” at backstabbers who were being coerced to lie and say the president had worked with Russian strongman Vladimir Putin. Rather than laugh and brush off the humorous social media posts, prosecutors installed by former President Barack Obama charged Stone with witness intimidation, among other thin charges.
With egg on their collective faces, CNN and career Democrats further mistreated Stone in the judicial system and ongoing coverage. The people persecuting Stone included Democrat prosecutors, a judge installed by Obama, and liberal political activists on the jury. At least one was employed by the previous administration and others were tied to anti-Republican activism. CNN failed to disclose these facts or point out Roger Stone was being railroaded.
It’s abundantly clear that handing the least credible major media outlet and award for a wrongful arrest and prosecution is rooted in spite. CNN helped Hillary win the nomination over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by secretly sending her primary debate questions in advance. The fake news outlets assured viewers Hillary would win the presidency in a landslide, and pushed the phony narrative President Trump was a Russian asset. Trump has thumbed his nose at the fake news media, holding rallies each year rather than attend the once-touted White House Correspondents Dinner.
These days, CNN’s ratings rank third in a field of three cable news outlets and often falls behind the History Channel and Cartoon Network, fitting. But the icing on the cake will come when President Trump pardons Roger Stone because he has been unfairly targeted, prosecuted, and convicted by Democrats that can’t get over the fact they lost the 2016 election and will likely lose again in November. That award will be a shining reminder that the leader in fake news — CNN — lost again.
