President Joe Biden has been slammed by critics for his notable lack of energy and enthusiasm for a while now, but recent events have made it clear that the Delaware Democrat is slipping even faster.
Clearly, the more stressful parts of being president are taking their toll on Biden. More recently, a pair of national emergencies have tested the former VP’s ability to do the bare minimum — that is, publicly assure the American people that the federal government is functional and the executive branch is in control. This is not the message the American people are getting.
In the wake of the Afghanistan debacle, Biden put off answering questions from the press for as long as possible, famously turning his back to one reporter and walking away in the wrong direction at one point. The back of the president’s head became a popular meme on social media, and for good reason. When the men behind the curtain finally realized how much of a bad look this is, they agreed to let Biden speak with the press — and that went as well as you might have expected.
Consider how many times you hear President Biden say he’s “not supposed” to answer questions, or that he’s “been instructed” as to who to call on when he does answer questions. This is not normal. You never heard this from Clinton, Bush, Obama — and certainly not from Trump. Make no mistake — no one questioned who was in charge during the last administration.
As we finally start to see what sort of commander-in-chief Joe Biden is capable of being, the image the media built up around him has completely evaporated. Gone is the idea of Good Ole Grandpa Joe licking an ice cream cone. Now, we have a confused old man snapping at reporters and outright refusing to do anything he wasn’t “instructed” to do.
What you’re about to see in the video below is a new low for the president — or really any president. We’ve had plenty of criticisms for previous leaders, but we have to admit — even Barack Obama wouldn’t do something like this. At least the man was awake enough to make his lies seem convincing.
