“Football Is Gay” Ad Reveals the NFL Is Now Fully Woke

Las Vegas Raiders player Carl Nassib made NFL history by becoming the first openly gay active professional football player.

Announced during Pride Month, the NFL’s timely response was to launch a new ad saying, “Football is gay.”

The full ad reads, “Football is gay. Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life. Football is exciting. Football is culture. Football is transgender. Football is heart. Football is power. Football is tough. Football is bisexual. Football is strong. Football is freedom. Football is American. Football is accepting. Football is for everyone.”

The wording reads like the tweet from a LGBTQ+ activist.

And keep in mind, this was after just one NFL player announced he was openly gay.

The NFL had already been under criticism for years following its anthem-kneeling controversy led by former quarterback Collin Kapernick. In 2020, the NFL joined other sports in promoting Black Lives Matter, despite the organization’s involvement in a series of violent protests.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk noted the expression of freedom regarding sexuality was much more accepting than an NFL player who opposes taking a COVID-19 vaccine.

He tweeted, “An NFL player coming out as gay is fawned over by the media as ‘courageous’ and ‘brave.’ But an NFL player coming out against mandatory vaccines and tyrannical, unscientific league rules is attacked by the media as ‘repugnant’ and ‘dangerous.’ Do you see the problem here?”

Kirk is right. The NFL is accepting of certain behaviors that are applauded by its woke sponsors but outright berates players who oppose its political views.

Remember when the NFL stood for the National FOOTBALL League? Its seems like much of the sport has to do with everything except playing football.

Politics has threatened to ruin (if it hasn’t already) another great American pastime. No fourth-grade kid watching an NFL football game needs to listen to commentary about a player’s sexual orientation.
Can’t we just “play ball” and stop the politics? If so, maybe more people would watch. The upcoming season may end up looking more like the empty stadiums of the pandemic season if the league continues to focus on political woke-ism rather than promoting the sport.

If the NFL took a strong financial hit when players kneeled at the anthem, what response will the league receive when it starts talking about sexual orientation during games? This isn’t even about what a person believes on the issue — it’s whether we need to hear about it during a football game.

Conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza recently released a video on the NFL’s “Football is gay” ad. His recommendation?

“The NFL has gone full political,” he said. “It’s time to turn it off.”

Many Americans will agree. The NFL will hopefully figure it out if they suddenly lose enough revenue and viewership. It’s up to America’s patriots to act and not give in when the NFL decides it’s more willing to support its funders than its football fans.
