Twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton once again appeared to welcome the idea of a rematch with President Donald Trump in 2020 during an interview in Oregon.
Stopping by local outlet KGW8 alongside daughter Chelsea Clinton, the former first lady appeared to promote a new book and answer questions about the current Democratic primary. When asked about which candidate she supports, Clinton delivered a fairly open-ended answer.
“All that matters is that we win,” she said. “I hate to be so, you know, simplistic about it.”
Clinton then began talking about nominating the “best” candidate, when a prompt “you!” erupted from the audience. The Obama-era former state secretary laughed it off, refusing to deny that she has considered entering the race.
“Oh, my. Well, thank you,” she responded. “I just feel so strongly that, look, I just want to say a little bit more about this, because what’s going on now with the impeachment inquiry is not a choice it was an obligation under the Constitution.”
Clinton has been highly visible in the media all throughout the month of October. During that time, she has been highly critical of President Trump as anyone should expect her to be, but she’s also thrown dirt at her own party’s candidates. She recently got into a spat with Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, alleging that her non-interventionist foreign policy is indicative of some loyalty to the Russian government.
Rep. Gabbard, who has drawn considerable interest from Americans who do not identify as Democrats, had a very colorful response to this serious allegation.

It’s hard to imagine that Clinton would be taking swipes like this if she wasn’t planning on getting more involved in one way or another. Theoretically, this could simply mean becoming a surrogate for an existing candidate — she has reportedly been meeting with Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is currently topping the polls in the primary.
But, the 71-year-old Hillary has already ran for president twice — those White House ambitions don’t just fade away, especially after it was “her turn” and she was defeated by that potty-mouthed playboy from The Apprentice.
