If you’re one of the many conservatives that have either had a post removed, your account muted or banned, or have seen several of your own favorite content creators purged, this might be the funniest headline you’ve seen in a while.
Left-wing partisans are now claiming that Facebook, one of the world’s leading social media platforms, is artificially propping up conservative websites and pages such as the Daily Wire, Breitbart, CRTV and others. Their proof? Mark Zuckerberg has spoken with Ben Shapiro a couple of times. Yes, that’s literally one of their talking points.
At no point does it occur to them that these pages do well on the platform because people are actually engaging with them.
And yes, this claim is being made while Facebook and Twitter continue to crackdown on all mentions of Hunter Biden and his corrupt history of picking up bags of cash from communist China and oligarchs in Ukraine. This couldn’t be any more backwards.
To be fair, Facebook hasn’t been quite as bad as Twitter — which will deplatform you for using the wrong pronouns. YouTube is another egregious offender for famously erasing people like Alex Jones and others from the internet entirely.
Virtually all of social media — at least the companies based in Silicon Valley — is in the progressive corner. Anyone who can’t see that lives in a left-wing bubble. The bias is so apparent that many Republican lawmakers are considering reversing their traditional stance on antitrust legislation.
