When your enemies are clear and your objectives are just, you don’t hesitate—you act. That’s exactly the position Israel finds itself in today. After nearly two years of bloody conflict with Hamas, Israel’s Security Cabinet is reportedly preparing for the only logical next step: retaking full control of the Gaza Strip.
Let’s be clear—this isn’t about imperialism or expansionism. This is about survival. It’s about rescuing hostages, destroying a genocidal terror regime, and restoring order in a region where chaos has reigned for far too long. According to Israeli media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has made the call: “The decision has been made… we are going to occupy the Gaza Strip.” That’s not posturing. That’s leadership.
And it’s long overdue.
For nearly two years, Israel has been locked in a war it didn’t ask for. After Hamas launched a brutal attack in 2023, murdering civilians and taking hostages—including women, children, and the elderly—Israel had no choice but to respond. But instead of standing with the only democracy in the Middle East, much of the world turned on it. Accusations of war crimes, fake famine propaganda, and endless ceasefire demands from globalists and so-called human rights groups have tried to tie Israel’s hands behind its back. Enough is enough.
Let’s talk about those ceasefire talks. They’ve failed—again and again. Hamas, like all jihadist terror groups, doesn’t negotiate in good faith. It uses truces to rearm, regroup, and reattack. The idea that diplomacy would somehow lead to the safe return of the roughly 50 hostages still held in Gaza is not only naive—it’s dangerous. As Netanyahu’s office rightly noted, “Hamas will not release hostages without total surrender.” That’s not a slogan. That’s reality. And it’s why Israel must act decisively now, before more innocent lives are lost.
The Israeli military leadership has voiced hesitation about a full reoccupation of Gaza. Understandable—but ultimately irrelevant. This isn’t 2005. Back then, Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza, dismantled settlements, and handed the territory over to the Palestinians in the name of peace. What did they get in return? Thousands of rockets, suicide bombings, and the rise of an Iranian-backed terror statelet on their southern border. The lesson is simple: you can’t appease terrorists, and you can’t outsource your security.
Some ministers in Israel now advocate not just reoccupying Gaza, but rebuilding the Jewish communities that were dismantled two decades ago. That may sound radical to some, but it’s a conversation worth having. Stability doesn’t come from power vacuums. It comes from governance, law, and order—things Hamas has obliterated in Gaza. If Israel doesn’t take responsibility for the Strip, someone else will, and that someone will almost certainly be worse.
Meanwhile, the international pressure campaign against Israel continues to ramp up. Western media outlets broadcast images of starving children, often without context or verification. Some of these heartbreaking photos involve children suffering from pre-existing conditions, but the damage is done. The narrative is set: Israel is starving Gaza.
What they don’t mention is that Hamas routinely steals aid, hoards supplies, and uses civilians as human shields. They don’t mention that Israel has allowed humanitarian aid into Gaza throughout the war, even when it endangered Israeli soldiers. They don’t mention that Hamas has rejected multiple ceasefire offers that would have freed hostages and ended the fighting. Why? Because to Hamas, dead Palestinians are more valuable than living ones—they make for better headlines.
Let’s not forget, either, that President Trump has made it clear: the United States stands with Israel. Unlike the Biden years, when appeasement and platitudes were the norm, the Trump administration recognizes that peace in the Middle East comes through strength, not surrender.
Israel is taking the hard road, but it’s the right one. Retaking Gaza isn’t just a military operation—it’s a moral obligation. No nation should tolerate a terrorist regime on its doorstep. No people should be forced to live under the boot of jihadist tyranny. And no hostages should be left to rot in tunnels while the world plays politics.
Israel is doing what it must. And the free world should stand with them, without apology.
