This is something the media will not tell you. “America’s largest Muslim civil liberties group,” according to the Hamas-affiliated Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), is how it presents itself. Under that mask, having supported a number of far-left initiatives, it has established itself as a respected part of the communist elite. Several naive and self-serving politicians have showered accolades on this shady group in an attempt to win over Muslim voters. Kamala Harris was one of them, which is not surprising.
Years have passed, yet nobody has seemed to care. “As California’s attorney general and later as U.S. senator, Harris built a partnership with CAIR, one of the nation’s biggest anti-Israel groups, and pushes for boycotts of the Jewish state,” the Washington Free Beacon noted back in October 2020. This is more important than ever in light of the Hamas killings of October 7, 2023.
The Free Beacon also noted that in a 2018 personal letter to the group, Harris expressed her “gratitude and appreciation” for CAIR, saying that the organization “advised Harris on community concerns throughout her tenure in California politics.” In particular, “CAIR’s Los Angeles executive director, Hassam Ayloush, commended Harris in 2015 for bringing the organization along to an interfaith meeting with law enforcement authorities. He said that Harris “exemplified leadership” by pledging to combat Islamophobia at a time when Jewish institutions in the state were in danger.
“Islamophobia” is a propaganda tool that scares people into believing that criticizing jihadi murder and Sharia-compliant persecution of women is immoral or even “bigoted.” Worse yet, Hussam Ayloush has consistently refrained from labeling Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist organizations, even prior to his endorsement of Kamala Harris. When Donald Trump was president in 2017, Ayloush demanded the fall of the American government. However, Harris replied to CAIR the next year, expressing his thanks and respect for the organization’s persistent efforts to advance justice, peace, and understanding between people.
That wasn’t even the whole story. The Free Beacon said that Harris, “as California’s top officer,” cooperated with local CAIR leaders and depended on their advice on topics of community concern. For example, Harris invited CAIR to speak at an interfaith community gathering in 2015 after a fatal terrorist assault in San Bernardino. CAIR’s political action committee gave $1,750 to Harris’s campaign in 2016 while she was running for the Senate. While it might not seem like much, consider the uproar that would have ensued if Donald Trump had embezzled even a tiny portion of that sum from an organization associated with the Ku Klux Klan.
Now that Harris is a presidential contender, the significance of her connections to CAIR has increased, and the self-described “civil rights group” is being more honest than ever about its true positions: Nihad Awad, the longstanding executive director of CAIR and cofounder, publicly declared that he was “happy” about the terror attack that killed 1,200 Israelis on October 7. “The Islamic nation has lost one of its biggest leaders with the passing of Sheikh Alam and Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani after he dedicated his life to serving the Quran,” Awad said in April 2024, praising Sheikh Abdul-Majid al-Zindani, a cleric with ties to both Hamas and al-Qaeda. Up until he encountered the All-Powerful Allah, he stayed tall and solid in the face of difficulties, hardships, pressure, and ranks. We send our condolences to Yemen, our country, and his family. We beseech Allah, the Most Merciful, Most Merciful, and Most Forgiving, to show him forgiveness, pardon him, and bestow upon him the greatest blessings. Al-Zindani, a specially designated terrorist, was on the UN Security Council’s list.
The media outcry would be loud and intense if Trump had ties to any of the groups that the leftist establishment alleges are made up of “right-wing extremists,” such as a group that opposes CAIR and jihadi terror, which was added to the SPLC’s list of “hate groups” for that reason. Until Trump repudiated the organization and returned its gift, he would be subjected to constant harassment.
However, no one is questioning the relationship between CAIR and Harris. This is because the media, CAIR, and Harris are all part of the same liberal establishment. You can’t really expect them to enforce self-policing, can you? Politicians know there won’t be any responsibility, so they can freely associate with left-list organizations. Were they owed to the people of America? Man, get moving! This isn’t 1776 at all!
