The Los Angeles County Department of Health has announced a mask mandate for indoor public settings beginning Sunday, regardless of whether a person has been vaccinated.
The news was announced Thursday to the public. Local KFI-TV announcer Steve Gregory reported, “[County Health Officer Dr. Muntu] Davis says it’s easier for everyone to do the same thing, so the order was modified to level the playing field because so many people in L.A. County have not been vaccinated. Davis said if cases do not come down, other more restrictive measures could be implemented.”
LA Public Health tweeted, “Wearing a mask indoors with others reduces the risk of both getting & transmitting the virus. We’re requiring masking for everyone while indoors at public settings & businesses, regardless of vaccination status so that we can stop the increased level of transmission we’re seeing.”

Keep in mind that this is after more than a year of lockdown restrictions. This is after Gov. Gavin Newsom has been hit with more than 1.5 signatures triggering a recall vote for his actions regarding COVID-19. This is also after a decline in the state’s population for the first time in recorded history in 2020.
Will California ever learn?
Maybe not. It seems like L.A. County wants to be the “cool kids” and lockdown like Australia and the U.K.
The problem is that California is not Europe or Australia. It’s America. Americans have a deep appreciation for freedom that led to declaring its independence from Britain.
We don’t like being told what to do, including wearing masks. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that the states that added more restrictions did no better and sometimes worse than those that did. And that was before the major of American adults were vaccinated.
Why go backwards now? Seems like a different type of “herd immunity” is at play. Instead of vaccinating enough people to get back to normal, the herd of leftist leadership in California is following the extreme responses of other countries facing COVID-19 spikes.
First we were told the vaccine would get us back to normal. Now many people have taken vaccines. We’re not back to normal.
What’s next? Will we be forced to live in an eternal state of mask wearing? Will we all have to carry around our vaccine passports to enter stores and attend events?
One of our nation’s early leaders was known for saying, “Give me liberty or give me death.” Where’s that attitude today? We need a new generation of Americans will to stand up for the rights of its people rather than bow to the gods and goddesses of the CDC and White House agenda.
If not, we may soon be wearing more than a mask. Government will not only come to our door to remind us to take the vaccine, but may start adding more to the list of do’s and don’ts. First Amendment, Second Amendment and other rights will be no more unless we do something about it now.
Doesn’t matter which country our leaders give the USA to, China or Russia, they don’t trust traitors. Our leaders, Democrats or Republicans, will be eliminated and the people they trust will be put in their place. Loyal party members of long standing and well indoctrinated, will be in control. That way they think they can control us. That’s what every tyrannical ideology believes. But if you look at the history of these countries, you’ll find that people will only allow this for so long. But when people try to erase history, those are just lessons that will then have to be repeated.
