Leftists Target Condoleezza Rice Over “Kitchen Table Issues” Comment

Condoleezza Rice, the first African-American National Security Advisor and first African-American Secretary of State is now a “foot soldier for white supremacy” according to far-left activists.

The reason? She simply noted on national television that many Americans care less about the January 6 riot than they do about “kitchen table issues” such as inflation, the rising cost of gasoline, and what their children are being taught in public schools.

The fact that she also stated that it is possible to empower African-American children without putting down white children also failed to earn her points with progressives.

Nonetheless, the former Secretary of State does have a valid point, and it’s one that Democrats would do well to listen to. Poll after poll shows that President Biden’s approval rating is tanking as independent and even Democrat voters grow increasingly unhappy with the way the Biden Administration is managing the economy. A recent Fox News poll of registered voters found that a whopping 87% of them are very concerned about inflation, while 84% have said they are worried about the impact the rising cost of gasoline will have on their families. Only a measly 39% approved of the way the President is handling the economy.

Other top concerns include the continued prevalence of COVID-19 and the ongoing debate over the teaching of Critical Race Theory to elementary students in public schools. Creating a congressional committee to investigate what happened on January 6, 2021, is far less important to even Democrat voters than finding turkey and trimmings for Thanksgiving and presents for the kids for Christmas.

Nonetheless, liberals all too eager to attack Rice had nothing to say about her concerns. Instead, she faced character attacks rather than thought-out arguments on the very real issues she presented on The View.

Condoleezza Rice is entirely right. Teaching white children to feel guilty about what their ancestors did is not only wrong, but won’t solve racism-related problems in the United States today. Focusing on the January 6 riots at the expense of ignoring supply chain disruptions, hyperinflation, severe worker shortages, and other “kitchen table issues” will result in the problems getting worse.

It’s also telling that the same crowd that condemns the events of January 6, 2021, in the strongest terms also deliberately ignores a similar event instigated by liberal pro-environmental rioters on October 14, 2021. Telling the truth about what’s going on in the nation is not “white supremacy” and, truth be told, the silent majority most likely agrees with Rice.

All told, progressives are shooting themselves in the foot again — and they’re trying to take down a powerful woman of color with them.
