Despite media claims that Liz Cheney’s platform would grow significantly after she lost the Republican primary in Wyoming, that hasn’t actually happened. Instead, Cheney is now only known for her outbursts at esoteric conferences and her fan fiction tweets on the Jan. 6th Twitter account.
Who could have have predicted that? But I digress. On Saturday, Cheney decided to thoroughly beclown herself when speaking to The Texas Tribune for an unidentified reason. She continued to shout about “election deniers” as she went after Kari Lake. After that, she went on to criticize Governor Glenn Youngkin as well, saying that his campaigning with Lake was inappropriate.
Cheney still seems to be residing in a dream world where she is powerful and decides what “our party” does or doesn’t do. But I do have some news for her. She is no longer a Republican. You cannot support Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin, and Nancy Pelosi while also claiming to represent the GOP’s interests. Cheney is a Democrat who plans to conduct a fraudulent presidential candidacy in 2024. Only for that reason has she not yet made it official.
Attacking Youngkin makes that completely clear. In almost every aspect, he is a traditional Republican. He has a responsibility to back other Republicans running for governor. To his credit, he is mature enough to set aside any differences and support Lake in her quest for triumph. On the other hand, Cheney is a pitiful, self-centered individual who would prefer to watch Americans suffer (as they are currently experiencing under Democrat control) than to end her grudge.
Kari Lake, for her part, reacted angrily to Cheney’s remarks by dropping the hammer.
The issue is this. Give Cheney the benefit of the doubt and assume that her fight against “election denial” is motivated by genuine moral principles. Do I think that? No, but let’s act as though.
If that’s the case, why in the world would she try to elect Democrats after they denied the election of George W. Bush and Donald Trump? Heck, I’m told that two of Cheney’s committee colleagues on January 6th really objected to certification, which is treason. And who do you know who has been quiet about it? Liz Cheney would be that person.
She is a hypocrite because she prioritizes her preoccupation over the needs of the nation. She is blatantly insane if she thinks she can influence the midterm elections in any way. Cheney will eventually realize that praise from the media doesn’t mean anything.
