Mainstream Media Compares GOP to the Taliban

The horrors the Taliban inflicted on their own people are well-known. Under its rule, women couldn’t work, go to school, drive a vehicle, or even leave home without a full-body covering known as the burqa. Freedom of speech and religion were non-existent. Even so, MSNBC had the gall to publish a hit piece comparing the Taliban to the GOP because conservative Republicans won’t embrace far-left talking points.

Far-left filmmaker Michael Moore went so far as to state that “everyone has got a Taliban” and then post a picture showcasing the Taliban in the Afghan presidential palace alongside a photo of Capitol Hill rioters in the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

Left-leaning journalists like to say conservatives are just like the Taliban because they stand in the way of a woman’s “right” to get an abortion. This, they say, deprives women of freedom over their own bodies.

There is a lot of backwards logic here. This same left-wing actively encourages President Biden and his acolytes to force people who don’t want to get an experimental COVID-19 jab to either get vaccinated or face severe consequences. A party that is desperately trying to make itself into a medical dictatorship has no right to accuse another party of “fanatic behavior” simply because this party won’t support baby murder.

Republicans have also been trashed for not supporting the Paycheck Fairness Act, which is ostensibly meant to ensure women receive the same pay as men. However, comparing someone who won’t vote for equal pay to someone running around beheading their enemies is a stretch. There are valid reasons to not support the act, including the fact that businesses are warning it will make it hard for employees to negotiate for higher pay.

Democrats also like to dump on conservative lawmakers for failing to support the Violence Against Women Act while failing to note that the bill includes unrelated gun control provisions that Republicans oppose. There are plenty of laws on the books prohibiting violence against women, so failure to pass the act does not necessarily put women in imminent danger of being beaten, kidnaped, or forced to become sex slaves, as is currently the case in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

America, unlike Afghanistan, has freedom of speech. News outlets have the freedom to publish what they please. However, hit pieces comparing conservatives to the Taliban make it apparent mainstream news outlets can no longer be trusted to provide unbiased news. They’re more like the Taliban than anyone else in the country.
