An enlightening investigation claims that the Biden administration has discreetly closed hundreds of thousands of migrants’ asylum requests, effectively providing “mass amnesty.”
Since 2022, the Biden team has “terminated without a decision on the merits of their asylum claim,” according to a recent New York Post story citing U.S. ICE officers as its source. The Biden administration apparently drops the asylum claims of illegal immigrants deemed not to pose a threat to the United States or without a criminal record.
While the migrants do not receive refuge in and of themselves, they also do not face denial. Furthermore, they close their asylum cases without making a judgment on the merits of their protection requests. They exit the court system and no longer have to report to the authorities. They can live in the United States without fear of deportation.
According to the Post, the United States allowed 102,550 migrants to remain in 2022 after dismissing their asylum applications. This figure reportedly reached 149,305 last year. The report shows that 113,843 illegal aliens had their asylum cases terminated in the first four months of 2024. On the other hand, there were 4,730 in 2020, 4,746 in 2019, and 18,119 in 2021, according to reports.

According to Andrew Arthur, a former immigration judge with the Center for Immigration Studies, “this is just a huge amnesty under the guise of prosecutorial discretion. You’re basically allowing people who don’t have a right to be in the United States to be here indefinitely.”
According to The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, which is described as a “data gathering and distribution organization,” 77% of asylum seekers have received permission to remain in the country since President Joe Biden took office in January 2020.
TRAC discovered a backlog of approximately 3.6 million outstanding asylum cases.
The U.S. Department of Justice manages millions of asylum cases with just 725 immigration judges.
According to reports, illegal immigrants typically have to wait more than six years for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to hear their cases. The Executive Office for Immigration Review typically brings up cases after an average wait period of approximately 4.3 years.

As a retired Senior Inspector from Custom/INS I am appalled at this illegal move by Biden. His so-called Executive Orders should have legally come from the two houses of Congress. Let’s elect Trump by disregarding that BS NYC phony trial, then impeach past president Biden. What a dirty, corrupt family!
