Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) will introduce a privileged resolution on Monday to compel President Joe Biden to disclose the number of American troops stationed in Ukraine.
Gaetz’s resolution was prompted by the revelation that at least 29 Department of Defense employees, including 14 American special operations soldiers, were present there in the previous month, according to leaked classified papers from the Pentagon.
Biden has often hinted that he would not commit American soldiers into the conflict in Ukraine, even going so far as to call it “World War III.”
“The Biden Admin. and other allied nations have been misleading the world on the status of the Ukraine war,” Gaetz claimed in a statement issued to Breitbart News on Monday.
“When they appear to be wagering on war with a nuclear opponent by having special forces working in Ukraine, the administration must be completely transparent to the American people,” he added.
The resolution would ask Biden and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to send copies of all documents outlining any proposals for present or future military assistance to Ukraine, as well as any documents outlining any deployments of US Armed Forces, including special operations forces, in Ukraine, to the House of Representatives.
Biden and Austin would have to transmit the information to Congress no more than fourteen days after the resolution’s adoption if it is approved.
The resolution is privileged because Gaetz can move to call it up as privileged matter on the floor if it fails to be brought to the House floor within 14 days of its introduction.
“I represent a congressional district where there are the most active-duty service members. For my constituents and family, the preservation of this kind of confidential material that was exposed can mean the difference between life and death,” Gaetz added.
“My Privileged Resolution of Investigation will better educate Congress and the nation on the true nature of our military’s involvement with this war.”
The conflict in Ukraine, which has cost American taxpayers at least $113 billion since it started in February 2022, has been the subject of Gaetz’s demands for accountability.

Impeachment is an almost certainty, depending on the spinelessness of our GOP Reps, but it won’t make a difference because he won’t be convicted in the Senate.

Ukraine is turning into another Vietnam as Joe Biden enriches himself and his family and his cronies. America needs to stand up and say let’s either get out of there or give them what they need to win: several squadrons of fighter bombers from NATO countries.
And another war is looming round the corner over Taiwan. Forget it,
We need to stop sending billions of taxpayers dollars to the Ukraine (so far $113 billion dollars) and billions to all other countries or areas that Americans have never heard of, taking all the immigrants and paying for their housing, health insurance, etc. It is time for our taxpayer dollars to be spent on our own people!! Why in the US do we have so many homeless people, people living in poverty, veterans being treated horribly being homeless and no medical insurance, and seniors not being able to pay for medications or food!! Our taxpayer dollars need to stay in America for our American people!! The United States is not the caretaker for all the world, etc!! No other country gives away the amount of money the US has given and it needs to stop immediately!! The American people come first especially since we pay such high taxes!! Our money needs to stay in the US and take care of our own people!! Wake up Government we want our money to stay in the US and to take care of our own. If you government officials, including the President can’t understand that then resign as you don’t belong in office as you have gone against your oath to represent and do what is best for the American people!!
