New Trump Poll Is Biden’s Worst Nightmare

According to a Monmouth survey released this week, the majority of GOP voters think that former President Trump is the most qualified Republican to challenge President Biden in 2024.

“Which of these statements best describes your opinion of which Republican has the greatest chance of winning in 2024, even if you now support Trump,” was the question posed to respondents in the survey.

“Donald Trump is without a doubt the strongest contender to defeat Joe Biden.”

“Donald Trump is most likely the most powerful opponent for Joe Biden.”

“Trump’s competition would most likely be a stronger Republican.”

“Trump would definitely not be a stronger candidate than another Republican,” in my opinion.

In general, 63 percent of respondents said Trump had the best chance of beating President Biden. 32 percent responded “someone else.”

45% of those 63% who believe Trump has the best chance of beating Biden said he is “definitely” the most powerful candidate, while 18% said he is “probably” the strongest.

19% of the 32% who said a candidate other than Donald Trump will “probably” be stronger. Only 13% of respondents felt a different candidate will “definitely” be more powerful.

The survey also revealed that Trump (43%) had a 24-point advantage against Ron DeSantis (19%), the governor of Florida. Trump’s ratings have increased by two points since March, while DeSantis’s have decreased by eight points.

With a margin of error of 5.5 percent, the survey polled 655 GOP voters from May 18 to May 24, 2023, right before DeSantis joined the GOP primary.

Despite Trump crushing DeSantis, both of the candidates have excellent favorability ratings amid Republicans: Trump has 77%, DeSantis has 73%.

The study found that Trump “has an advantage in virtually every GOP voting bloc, with the obvious exception of college grads. DeSantis dominated among the party’s key demographic groups just a few months ago.”

DeSantis has failed to provide a compelling argument for why GOP supporters should choose him over Trump, according to Patrick Murray, director at the independent Monmouth College Polling Institute.

“DeSantis already fell behind as he came through the starting gate. Republican voters continue to support him, but they have not heard a compelling argument for why he would be the greatest candidate for the party,” according to Murray.

  1. My vote goes to Trump. DeSantis is not strong enough to stand. He has many Rhino friends. He will fit in with DC.
Always vote for the one the Liberals hate most ( Trump )
He will fight for the American people.. This is our last chance to save our Country from Socialism.
    GOD Bless America

    1. Yep! Absolutely agreeable. America is STILL great & she needs to stay that way. Pres Trump has earned a 2nd term. He’s still standing & it isn’t because the democRATs haven’t tried absolutely everything to knock him down & out!!

  2. Trump deserves to win for several reasons:
    1) He has a proven track record of making life better for ALL Americans
    2) He made great progress even when the liberals were doing all they could to stop it
    3) A 2024 victory would be pouring salt in the wounds of the liberals who thought they could stop him
    4) He’s now much more aware of how much the swamp needs to be drained
    5) He’s now much more aware that he can’t expect his support team to be pro-American and wanting the best for the country as he does (e.g. Fauci),
    6) I’m a Floridian. While DeSantis would be great on a national level and just as good as Trump (if not better), I’d like to keep him guiding Florida in the right direction instead of chancing his replacement to do likewise. We need a boatload of good strong governors (DeSantis, Noem, Abbott, etc.) and far fewer Newsom/Whitmer/Hochul/Walz/Inslee/Hobbs disasters.
    7) The lefties will hate DeSantis just as much as they hate Trump. It’s not that they really hate the men themselves but they fear that such men will end the godless and corrupt activities that they enjoy.

As good as Trump and DeSantis are, neither will win as long as election fraud isn’t prevented. The corrupt Democrats effectively used the plandemic to subvert the 2020 election and I would expect them to be actively plotting how to prevent fair elections in 2024.

    1. I agree, He needs to keep working for Florida. He will still be there, for the next ‘run’. Pres Trump did it the 1st time & he will do it again. I have NO doubts. He has earned the 2nd round. The democRATs will never stop ’til America & ‘we the people’ are annihilated. They are so corrupted & they don’t want to lose that. BUT IF they win– China will not ‘congratulate’ them. They will be imprisoned just like the rest of us. And then, they will be forced to forfeit all they have to China. HA!! Evil/crime simply does NOT pay, in the end.
