Palestinians Turn on Hamas After Brutal Torture Killing

(INT) Hamas holds military parade to remember Israel's 2014 offensive. July 20, 2022, Gaza Strip, Palestine: Brigadiers from Al-Qassam, the military wing of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas, take part in a military parade on the anniversary of the 2014 war, the so-called Operation Protective Margin, a military campaign launched by the Israeli Armed Forces against the Gaza Strip. The conflict led to the deaths of 2,251 people and more than 11,000 injuries, according to Palestinian and United Nations sources. The mask is slipping in Gaza. A brutal killing by Hamas’s own military wing has ignited one of the most defiant uprisings the terror group has faced in years. Thousands of Gazans have taken to the streets, chanting “Hamas out!” and waving white flags, following the savage torture and murder of 22-year-old Odai al-Rabei by Hamas’s al-Qassam Brigades.

This isn’t coming from Israeli media or American intelligence—it’s coming straight from Odai’s grieving family and an enraged Palestinian public that has had enough.

According to the family’s devastating video statement, Hamas kidnapped and tortured Odai for daring to speak out in anti-Hamas protests. His crime? Using his voice to oppose tyranny. Eyewitnesses and online footage show his lifeless, mutilated body returned to his family after he was allegedly beaten with “hard tools” and dragged through the streets. His family, calling Hamas a “sinful, rogue” organization, has vowed not to rest until those responsible are brought to justice.

Let’s not sugarcoat it: Hamas—designated a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the United States and the European Union—did this. And for once, even the people of Gaza are saying it loud and clear.

Funeral processions for Odai erupted into spontaneous mass protests. “Out, out, out! Hamas out!” they chanted. “In spirit and blood, we’ll redeem you, Odai!” These are not just slogans—they’re a cry for freedom from a population that has lived under Hamas’s brutal, Iran-backed rule since 2007.

Odai wasn’t some foreign spy. He was a devout Muslim. He fasted during Ramadan. He read the Quran. He survived Israeli tanks and airstrikes for over a year—only to be murdered by the very group that claims to “resist” on his behalf.

But Hamas isn’t interested in protecting Palestinians. It’s interested in power. And when someone dares to speak out—especially during wartime—they silence them in the only way they know how: violence.

Of course, the pro-Hamas spin machine kicked into gear immediately, accusing Odai—without a shred of evidence—of being an Israeli collaborator. That’s their go-to excuse for executing dissenters. One user posted, “He was certainly a spy.” No trial. No evidence. Just mob justification for murder. This is what happens when a terrorist organization runs your government.

Meanwhile, something historic is brewing. For the first time in years, Gazans are openly calling for peace, transparency, and even the release of Israeli hostages. That’s right—Palestinians standing in the heart of Gaza are risking their lives to demand an end to Hamas’s reign of terror.

President Trump’s bold new vision for Gaza—one that includes voluntary resettlement, economic revival, and liberation from Hamas—has been gaining traction. And it’s no surprise why: a growing number of Gazans now say they want out. Not out of Gaza. Out of tyranny. Out from under the boot of a regime that uses them as human shields and silences them with bullets and batons.

This is not just a one-off protest. This is a crack in the facade. A moment when the people Hamas claims to defend are finally telling the truth: “You don’t represent us. You oppress us.”

If the Biden administration had a spine, it would stand with these protesters, condemn Hamas loudly, and support Trump’s pressure campaign to remove the group from power permanently. But instead, Democrats coddle Hamas-friendly NGOs and hedge their language, afraid of offending the radical Left.

The truth is simple: Hamas doesn’t fight for the people of Gaza. It feeds off them. It kills its critics. It hoards aid. And now, it’s being exposed by the very people it claims to protect.

It’s time to finish what Trump started. End Hamas. Liberate Gaza. And let the region finally breathe free.
