At Hillcrest High School in Queens, New York, a teacher’s pro-Israel social media post sparked a significant uproar among students, resulting in a chaotic protest within the school. The teacher, whose identity remains confidential for safety reasons, changed her Facebook profile picture to one that showed support for Israel, a move that did not sit well with a significant number of students.
This revelation led to a spontaneous and intense demonstration, with a large number of students partaking in a protest that quickly escalated. They expressed their disapproval vociferously, brandishing Palestinian flags and loudly chanting, creating a tumultuous environment in the school corridors. The intensity of the situation grew to such an extent that the teacher in question had to be sequestered in an office, with the door locked for her safety, as students attempted to storm her classroom.
During the protest, there was noticeable damage to the school’s property, including the ripping out of a water fountain and the destruction of floor tiles. Adding to the teacher’s distress, her personal details, including her home address and phone number, were allegedly disclosed, leading to additional threats.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) had to intervene, dispatching about 25 officers to quell the unrest and ensure the safety of staff and students. In light of the severity of the event, the NYPD’s counterterrorism bureau got involved to investigate potential threats against the school.

The school systems and colleges in this country are teaching are youth to hate America, isn’t it time for parents to step up and start teaching their children our history rather it be good or bad. The best way to handle this would be to simply sit the students down and have them explain why Hamas was right to attack Israel, and why Israel was wrong to stage a counterattack. That should force them to think about the tumultuous history of that area of the world. It’s likely the students won’t bother to explain, but will just yell and scream about the “unfairness” of it all. As the judge sentences them, he can say they were given a chance to explain their actions, but refused to.
