President Trump just served up another brutal takedown of the fake news media, this time mocking a Washington Post reporter who dared to question him about his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Trump Schools the Media – Again
Fresh off a heated exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House—where Trump warned Zelensky he was “playing with World War III”—Trump took questions from reporters on Air Force One. That’s when Michael Birnbaum of the Washington Post made the mistake of trying to bait Trump with a question about Russia’s latest attack on Ukraine.
“Do you believe Putin is disrespecting you by attacking Ukraine?” Birnbaum asked, setting himself up for a classic Trump clapback.
Trump’s response? Pure gold.
“What did he do?” Trump asked, clearly unimpressed.
“Well, he’s attacked Ukraine,” Birnbaum replied.
Trump, never one to miss an opportunity to call out fake news, shot back: “Is he disrespecting me? Who are you with?”
When Birnbaum admitted he was with the Washington Post, Trump delivered the knockout punch:
“You’ve lost a lot of credibility.”
And just like that, Birnbaum was dismissed and humiliated.
Trump Exposes the Washington Post’s Collapse
Trump wasn’t wrong about the Washington Post’s credibility crisis. The once-powerful paper has been bleeding readers ever since it refused to endorse a candidate in 2024. Reports even suggest that Bezos shut down an already-written endorsement for Kamala Harris to avoid further embarrassing the paper.
Now, the Washington Post is desperate for relevance, sending reporters like Birnbaum to lob weak gotcha questions at Trump—but the former (and soon-to-be current) president isn’t falling for it.
Trump Gets the Last Laugh – Again
The fake news media tried to destroy Trump, but they’re the ones falling apart. Meanwhile, Trump is flying high on Air Force One, cutting deals, and actually working to bring peace to Ukraine, despite Zelensky’s bad attitude and Biden’s failed policies.
As for the Washington Post? Well, Trump put it best: “You’ve lost a lot of credibility.”
