Republicans Finally End Biden’s Most Un-American Agenda

A House Republican has submitted legislation that would prohibit flags other than the American flag from being flown over US embassies and other posts, in response to the Biden administration’s decision to fly Black Lives Matter and Pride flags over such diplomatic sites.

Rep. Jeff Duncan introduced the Old Glory Only Act (R-SC). The bill “was initially proposed in reaction to a State Dept. staffer flying a rainbow flag above a South American embassy in 2018,” according to his office. Obama’s administration initiated the movement to fly a pride flag in 2014, and it has now spread to several foreign embassies.

Duncan declared in a statement that “our beautiful flag, Old Glory, should be the sole flag flying and representing our nation over our diplomatic and consular posts around the world.” The Stars and Stripes are the best representation of our common beliefs and the American flag is a beacon of liberty. To represent our ideas overseas, it is crucial to make sure that Old Glory is exclusively flown at American embassies.

When the U.S. Embassy in the Holy See (Vatican City) flew a rainbow flag to honor Pride Month in June 2022, it drew harsh criticism.

The beginning of Pride Month begins today. According to a tweet from the embassy’s Twitter account, “The United States supports and encourages the equality and human dignity of all individuals, especially the LGBTQIA+ community.”

Others pointed out that the Biden administration’s decision to fly a rainbow flag in the heart of the Catholic Church would be prohibited in many Muslim countries where same-sex unions are illegal.

All American embassies and consulates abroad have been given permission by Secretary of State Antony Blinken to fly BLM flags on their official flagpoles. The State Department authorized the use of BLM flags at embassies in May 2021 to commemorate George Floyd’s death on May 25.

The U.S. Embassy in Athens, Greece, announced at the time, “We raise this banner in remembrance of George Floyd, killed one year ago today, in solidarity with people throughout the world seeking a world without racial prejudice and a future with fair opportunity for all.”

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo refused requests from embassies to raise non-American flags under the administration of former President Donald Trump. In 2021, the decision was overturned by the Biden administration, enabling embassies and other American facilities abroad to display the Pride flag.

The change came ahead of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia on May 17.

“Posts should help support efforts to repeal the criminalization laws while ensuring that ‘do no harm’ will remain our overarching principle so that US initiatives do not accidentally result in backlash or additional marginalization of the LGBTQI+ community,” the State Department said in a statement.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) introduced a comparable bill to outlaw flags other than the American flag in May 2021. The bill was defeated in the Democratic-controlled House at the time.

“It is not right for President Biden and Secretary Blinken to permit and promote the display of fundamentally political flags that are not linked with the United States Government above American embassies across the world,” the representative wrote.

  1. Impeach the Illegitimate presidency and administration of biden and harris for Treason and Sedition against the American People and the Constitution

    1. You got that exactly right my fellow patriot!!!!, and lets not let anyone call US !!! the ELECTION DENIERS, When in fact THEY are the Election Deniers, and Liars, and Cheats!!! The truth is all coming out now finally getting rid os some of these social medias, fake news , and Lamestream medias that are holding a monopoly on a the narratives THEY want people to be brainwashed into. It is their sick narratives they are trying to push onto the people because they are demon, devil worshippers.

  2. If memory serves, a gay rainbow flag was also flown over a U.S. Government installation in Afghanistan. Imagine what that must have done for Afghan-American relations!

Even the cynical dictator Putin criticizes the USA over its lax (or non-existent) sexual moral code.

Augustine said it well: love the sinner; hate the sin.
