Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) said on “Fox & Friends” that President Joe Biden’s decision to deploy soldiers to the southern border was part of a scheme not in order to fortify the border but instead to let more immigrants enter the U.S.
Given the impending election, Jackson said that appearances were also a factor in the choice.
He said that “rather than dealing with the issue, authorities were sending personnel to assist with processing so that more individuals might enter the country. I mean, I believe this is consistent with what they have been doing. Never, ever doubt that this was done on purpose. For two years, the House, the Senate, and the White House were all under Democratic control. They had the power to influence the border. They had the option of doing it on their own terms. They took no action. They refrained from doing it since this was done on purpose. Progressives and the far left are in charge of this procedure, sending 1,500 soldiers to ease the administrative strain and a number of additional judges to examine the claims of these asylum seekers and grant them entry to the nation.”
“That’s what will take place. This has to stop because there will be a huge number of individuals who will be able to enter the nation as a consequence of all of this,” Jackson said. “I just learned that there are upwards of 5 million individuals waiting to enter this nation at some time, according to the State Department. This is not sustainable, and I believe that the sole reason why Biden is concerned about it at the moment, and the one reason he has decided to send folks there, is because he has an election coming up, and he needs it to appear like he is actually doing something, but in reality, he is likely making things worse.”
