Democratic contender Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has to be the most intriguing candidate in the 2024 race, if not for his professional trajectory and family background, then at least for his willingness to defy the D.C. establishment narrative and criticize The Uniparty.
RFK Jr. is warning all Americans — no matter which party — who care about genuine democratic principles and the risk of having a nonexistent press for holding the government responsible in his most recent campaign statement concerning the FBI’s interference in the 2016 election as detailed by the explosive Durham Report.
Kennedy tweeted, “This is not a partisan skirmish. It has to do with the FBI being used as a political weapon to destroy a presidential challenger and subsequently the incumbent. It concerns a complex web of falsehoods designed to discredit the democratic ideal of a well-informed populace.”
Durham’s assessment said that the 2016 presidential campaign of then-candidate Donald Trump should not have been the subject of a federal investigation and that there was no justification for such an inquiry, as has already been widely reported. In other words, it was built on spurious facts and falsehoods that were ostensibly aimed to undermine and defame Trump.
Without a lapdog media allowing them to do it, the federal government would not have been able to undermine the U.S. Constitution and trample on accepted values, despite claims to the contrary.
Kennedy also called out the thugs in the old-school newsrooms.
The Durham study, Kennedy said, “may be the most disturbing of all, exposes the utter cooperation of the mainstream press, which has yet to say they were lured in by the great lie, spread it, and now continues to allow those falsehoods to stand as reality.”
In fact, publications like The Washington Post won Pulitizer awards for their reporting. Will these publications return their awards for false news now that it has all been shown to be a scam?
It seems unlikely.
But as Kennedy noted, the unsavory connection between the government and the media, as well as the other way around, isn’t inherently new.
The late U.S. Attorney General Robert Kennedy’s son said that both cable television and conventional media were only too glad to repeat the falsehoods that led to the Iraq War.
“ChrisLynnHedges’ additional commentary amply demonstrates the parallels between this media convergence around two mendacious mythologies: Russiagate and the lies, lies, and more lies about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction.”
The Russiagate comments by RFK Jr. are not the first instance in which he demonstrated a willingness to denounce swamp monsters and those who support them. On issues like COVID, Ukraine, “transgender-identifying” males in women’s sports, and the sinister union of Big Government and Big Business, RFK Jr. disagrees with the Democratic Party.
It’s understandable why the Left and their media supporters despise
