On SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who announced his run for president as a Democrat, blasted the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for having a “rigged” primary process, no debates, and shifting South Carolina voting ahead of New Hampshire on the timetable.
“The DNC has made it clear that there won’t be a debate, and I believe that’s regrettable… Regarding what the DNC is doing to the primary system,” Kennedy Jr. said to the host, Joel Pollak, Top Editor-at-Large of Breitbart News, “I believe what the DNC did to New Hampshire is just as awful.”
Kennedy Jr. was referencing the DNC’s decision to rearrange the early-voting states. President Joe Biden performed poorly in the states of New Hampshire and Iowa, therefore the DNC shifted South Carolina, where Biden performed strongly, in front of the two.
“President Biden performed poorly in New Hampshire, finishing fifth. They thereby grabbed New Hampshire and demoted it to second place. We should be at this moment in history, they’re going to say today, adding that they’re going to completely take the delegates from New Hampshire.”
As the “gateway” to the remaining primaries for a century, the Democrat referred to New Hampshire as “a model for American democracy” as well as the “gold standard” for electoral integrity.
“It costs extremely little to run for office. Additionally, it boasts the biggest independent block in the nation. And people do not make up their minds until they’ve seen the candidates repeatedly and shake their hands five times before choosing who to vote for,” according to Kennedy Jr.
He said that the reason New Hampshire had the superior first-in-the-nation primary was that “they evaluate these contenders for the whole country, they evaluate them like you would be vetted if you were seeking election for a city council seat.”
