Given the fact that COVID-19 vaccines are relatively new and are known to cause a range of side effects, it’s not surprising that many are opting to pass on them. Unfortunately, members of the military won’t just have to choose between a shot and their job. The Biden Administration wants to dishonorably discharge or even court-martial any military member who won’t get the shot. The move could have drastic consequences not just for military members but also their families and even the nation as a whole.
A dishonorable discharge follows a person for life. Employers typically look at such a discharge in the same light as a criminal conviction. Thus, a dishonorably discharged soldier would have a hard time finding a good job.
Furthering one’s education would likewise be very difficult, as one would lose access to federal financial aid in the form of grants and loans. Healthcare from the VA would also be inaccessible and one would lose the right to bear arms and even vote in local, state, and federal elections.
A court-martial could result in confinement, drastic loss of pay, hard labor, or even a death sentence in some instances. It would seem that these are stiff penalties to pay, but clearly President Biden cares nothing about the human loss caused by his Draconian policies. The disdain with which he treated the families of fallen soldiers who lost their lives at the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan makes it clear that he cares far more about pushing his agenda.
It’s hard to fathom why the military would treat its own members so harshly. After all, the president has exempted both Houses of Congress, the federal judiciary, and even the Postal Service from his mandatory vaccine edicts. He could easily exempt military members as well. At the very least, he could offer military members a general discharge if they refuse the vaccine. Such a discharge would enable a person to find employment and access most federal and VA benefits as well. However, that doesn’t push the agenda, does it?
Alarmingly, this is likely only the first step down the road to tyranny as a government that has already given itself the authority to make medical decisions on the behalf all Americans. This is an administration that exemplifies the leftist mantra “we know more than you, so we’re going to make all of your decisions.”
