Trump Officially Endorses NFL Player Herschel Walker for Senate

Former President Donald Trump released a statement offering his official endorsement of NFL great Herschel Walker as Republican Senate candidate in Georgia as conservatives seek to regain power in the Senate during the 2022 midterm elections.

“Herschel Walker is a friend, a Patriot, and an outstanding American who is going to be a GREAT United States Senator. He embodies ‘America First’ and the winning spirit of Georgia,” Trump said in a statement on Thursday.

“Herschel is tough on Crime and Borders, and he will always stand in support of Law Enforcement, Military, and our Vets. He will fight hard for our Second Amendment and Vote Integrity. Herschel Walker will never let you down. He was a great football player and will be an even better U.S. Senator — if that is even possible. He has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

“THANK YOU to my friend President Trump for your support and encouragement! Together, we will win back the U.S. Senate for GEORGIA!!” Walker tweeted alongside the Trump statement.

Walker was a legendary running back at the University of Georgia before launching his well-known NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys. Walker had hinted at a run for Senate for several months, launching his campaign in August.

With Trump’s full endorsement, Walker will face a strong battle with Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2022 as Republicans seeks to win back control after losing power in 2021 following Georgia’s Senate run off election.

If successful, the win would help flip the Senate as part of Trump’s Save America strategy. Many also believe Republicans are likely to win back the House. If so, the wins could make Biden effectively a half-term president, stopping his radical legislation and runaway spending that is driving America’s economy into the tank.

Trump, a shrewd businessman and negotiator, also likely has his own campaign plans in mind. With the Senate and House controlled by conservatives, especially with the influence of his endorsements, he would have strong momentum in a comeback presidential run in 2024. A win would make him only the second president to serve two terms with another president in between.

It would be no surprise to see Trump back in the White House following the 2024 election. He has never taken the conventional option, pushing louder against haters who blast him for his mean tweets or claims about the Big Lie. He has also taken on the swamp across the board, calling out Republicans in name only like Alaska’s Murkowski or Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, working to remove those who are not truly pursuing an America First agenda.

Some argue Walker is short on political experience, but the same was said about Trump. Walker’s work ethic is clear. His allegiance to America its priorities are as well. Now he’s pushing against the left in Georgia, the location of the Fulton County Suitcasegate case and other suspicious voting activities. But the state has also approved a new voting reform law this year. Anything could happen, but what is really needed is to bring Walker on board to add to those seeking to stop Biden and save the nation.
