On FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump claimed that nuclear is the other “n-word” since no one speaks about the threat.
Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, Trump remarked, “At first, Biden was really terrified of nuclear. Oh, they have nuclear weapons, that was the exact wrong message to convey. Don’t do it, but if you check your files and go back, you’ll find that Biden stated we can’t do this right now. They are armed with nukes. You shouldn’t behave in such a manner, but he was really terrified of nuclear. I told him, “You know, you’ve got to be a little bit cooler than that,” but now that nobody talks about it—only Putin and some individuals every day bring it up—other nations are now talking about acquiring it.”
“This was a thing you don’t mention,” he continued. “You have two n-words. I refer to it as the ‘n-word.’ You don’t bring up any of them; specifically, you avoid using the word ‘nuke’ because of how terrible it is. I attended a meeting with MIT academics while getting ready for a discussion. Although I wouldn’t say it took much time to prepare, I did want to talk about nuclear power because I believe it to be the single biggest threat facing the world—far more so than global warming, it’s not even close. When these really intelligent and knowledgeable people arrived, I asked them, If we begin to discuss nuclear debate, how would you handle it? One of them turned to face me and said, Sir, you cannot speak about it. You are not allowed to discuss it. What does that mean, I questioned? It is so big and so devastating, he declared, that you cannot talk about it. We largely avoided it even though I completely knew what he meant, but now Putin keeps bringing it up.”
