Trump Strikes Iran: American Power Reasserted Globally

America is at a crossroads, and the stakes have rarely been higher. On Saturday, over 125 U.S. aircraft—including our formidable B-2 stealth bombers—took decisive action, striking three key Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The message was clear: under President Trump’s leadership, America will never tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran.

But now, predictably, America’s adversaries are rallying against us. Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, made a chilling declaration on social media: “The enrichment of nuclear material—and now we can say it outright, the future production of nuclear weapons—will continue.” He went even further, claiming, “A number of countries are ready to directly supply Iran with their own nuclear warheads.”

Medvedev stopped short of naming specific nations volunteering to arm the Iranian regime, but his ominous statement underscores an uncomfortable truth conservatives have long warned about: the axis of anti-American powers is real, growing, and increasingly emboldened. Russia, historically a key supporter of Iran, is now openly amplifying threats against American interests. Their diplomatic language has vanished, replaced by overt hostility.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry condemned our strikes in terms that would be laughable if the situation weren’t so serious, accusing America of “flagrantly violating international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.” Such hollow accusations ring particularly absurd given Moscow’s own history of aggression—most recently, their invasion of Ukraine under Putin’s watch.

The Biden administration’s past policies are directly responsible for this chaos. While President Trump courageously withdrew from Obama’s disastrous 2015 Iran deal, the damage done by Biden’s subsequent weakness, appeasement, and indecision allowed Tehran to resume its march toward nuclear weapons. Trump’s decisive actions this weekend were necessary precisely because Biden and his allies chose appeasement over strength, emboldening Iran’s nuclear ambitions and forcing our hand.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth addressed this reality head-on, acknowledging the evolving security landscape in the Middle East. “We certainly understand the challenges of allies in the region,” Hegseth told reporters, stressing America’s commitment to coordinate closely with our regional partners. “Ultimately, they’ve got a lot of assets and people in those locations also where American troops are co-located.”

Let’s be clear: America stands firmly behind our military personnel and allies in the region. Unlike Biden’s misguided foreign policy, which prioritized globalist dreams over American safety, President Trump understands that America’s national security isn’t negotiable. Allowing Iran to achieve nuclear capabilities poses an existential threat—not only to Israel and neighboring Gulf states but to the United States itself.

Iran’s regime has repeatedly threatened American troops and our regional bases. Recall the retaliatory strikes Iran launched after the 2020 killing of terrorist mastermind Qasem Soleimani—attacks that put American lives directly in harm’s way. Tehran has openly warned America of severe consequences if we dare intervene, yet Trump’s decisive action sends an unmistakable message: threats against America will be met with overwhelming strength.

Russia’s attempts to posture as a neutral mediator in Iran-Israel negotiations, as President Putin suggested last week, are transparently disingenuous. Moscow’s historical support for Tehran, combined with Medvedev’s alarming comments, prove that Russia’s primary aim is not peace, but destabilization of American influence and power abroad.

We must remain vigilant. The stark reality is that our adversaries see President Trump’s America First policies as a direct threat to their expansionist aims. They preferred the weakness and hesitation of Biden’s administration. But those days are gone. Under Trump’s leadership, America once again asserts its strength on the global stage, reminding hostile nations that we will not back down, we will not apologize, and we will never sacrifice our security and sovereignty.

President Trump’s bold move to destroy Iranian nuclear ambitions was necessary and justified. Now is the time for unity and clarity. America must stand strong, resolute, and prepared to counter any aggression—no matter where it originates.
