Autism Cases Increase In America

A new study has found that the number of children in the United States, who are being diagnosed with autism, has risen significantly in recent years.

The study was published by researchers at Guangdong Pharmaceutical University in China and found 3.49 percent of children and adolescents in the United States have some symptoms of autism in 2020, rising significantly by 52 percent since 2017.

Some experts have often speculated that the rise in autism is tied to the child vaccination schedule, while others have said that parents are more aware of the condition, so are able to recognize early warning signs of autism, resulting in an increase of medical diagnosis.

Findings were published on Tuesday in JAMA Pediatrics and researchers had gathered data from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS), which was conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to gauge the health of the average household in America.

Those with autism, according to the CDC, find communication difficult and often have trouble with social and emotional skills, which can develop before the age of three years and last throughout a person’s lifetime.

Specific signs of autism include:

Reactions to smell, taste, look, feel or sound are unusual

Difficulty adapting to changes in routine

Unable to repeat or echo what is said to them

Difficulty expressing desires using words or motions

Unable to discuss their own feelings or other people’s

Difficulty with acts of affection like hugging

Prefer to be alone and avoid eye contact

Difficulty relating to other people

Unable to point at objects or look at objects when others point to them

Autism is also far more prevalent in boys far more than girls, with boys sitting at 5 percent, while girls have under two percent and children who are from impoverished backgrounds, are black or come from homes where parents are more educated, are the likeliest to be diagnosed.

More educated parents are at the top of why there has been an upswing in diagnoses, and some experts have said it is the better surveillance, not an increase in autism itself, that is pushing the numbers up.

Since 2006, the American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended that children between the ages of 18 months and two years old should be screened for autism.

There are some children still in the womb, however, who are at greater risk of developing autism and include exposure to pollutants while pregnant, being an older parent and being obese could all contribute.

Social stigma around autism has also decreased and parents are not as reluctant to seek the advice of their doctor.

There are some who still insist though, that the increased cases have everything to do with the vaccinations children take while they are still small.

  1. i think vaccines play a large part in the increase of Autism in children. while there are vast differences between puppies and children there are many similarities as well particularly in how the immune system functions; i had a litter of puppies begin to exhibit symptoms like Autism within 3 days of a vaccine.

    1. the FDA has been killing us since the day we were born. Over vaccination and the preservatives in the vaccines are awful. Like animals. Vaccines stay in their system for 3 or more years , but the vets want you to vaccinate every year, and the vaccines are dirty compared to ours. After this covid vaccine came out, I will never trust the FDA ever again. I feel bad for the people who was forced to take the vaccine.

  2. More people are injured or killed from vaccine injuries in America than from firearms. More people die from medical MALPRACTICE in America than Firearms. The current HIGHEST death rate in the USA is currently drug & fentanyl over doses in the 18-45 age group. Abortion has killed 63 million humans in the USA alone. So it would be FACTUAL to say the MEDICAL industry has killed & injured more human beings than any Else.

  3. any problem associated with vaccines is squelched
Even the definition of vaccine has been altered
Does anyone believe anything the CDC says
    They, too, have become corrupt

  4. I too believe our vaccine schedule for infants begins WAY too early. Many newborns and jnfants have “herd immunity” due to the high number of people already vaccinated. Unless traveling to a 3rd world country 99.9% of the people are already vaccinated so newborn and infant vaccines should wait till age 3

    1. AGREE, Jana, my almost killed my cat by giving him too many vaccines at one time. Our doctors have been doing the same thing to our children for years, WE, have to stop it. Their reasoning, lol, is because there is an increase. wonder why? Could it be all the illegals?
