In response to the huge number of migrants that have arrived in New York City since October 1, 2023, former President Bill Clinton said that the city’s “Right to Shelter law” needs to be changed. It’s because of the Biden administration that the border is now open, which has affected a lot of blue cities.
Clinton told presenter John Catsimatidis of 77 WABC radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” program, “Governor Kathy Hochul feels it should be changed, and it possibly should be based on the circumstances.” Furthermore, he said that the migrant problem in the country’s big cities makes Democrats look terrible in the eyes of voters.
After thousand of immigrants crossed the southern border with Mexico in 2023, Clinton said that New York City’s “Right to Shelter” rule needs to be changed because of the large number of illegal immigrants coming into the city.
“It is broken. It needs to be fixed,” Clinton said about the rule, “It does not make any sense.”
“They arrive here, and we are supposed to give them a place to stay while they wait for six months to receive work permits. That needs to change,” he said next.
“They need to work. They should get a job, pay taxes, and start paying for things.” Clinton said, “Most of these individuals don’t want to be on welfare.”
Democratic officials at all levels of government—or even, in Clinton’s case, retired—are starting to acknowledge that the United States experiment with free borders has been an expensive disaster. But there may be a more sneaky plan at work here.
Democrats know that the 2024 elections are coming up quickly, but they are having a hard time at the polls. To do this, they are taking stances that limit immigrants. But these positions are at best just empty words. It’s all about the 2024 elections.
Democrats are going to switch back to their “open borders” plans once they are in charge. So, America First supporters should not pay attention to Clinton’s words and should keep voting for people who will actually support sensible immigration restrictions like stopping birthright citizenship and putting a stop to new immigrants coming into the country.

It’s a little late on the ‘get go’, to admit what a disaster it is. Even if the rules all change, it would only affect hose coming in – there are STILL the millions that have gotten in-UNVETTED & transferred to states unknown. What really makes me disgusted with Biden and his policies are that he doesn’t care about all the people coming through the Border.
