Chinese Alibaba Unveils Latest Carbon Surveillance Technology At Davos

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been tracking its citizens for years and has a social credit score that can take away “points” from a citizen for behavior the CCP considers to be unacceptable – like eating too much bad food or failing to be polite while out and about.

Those who repeat offenses can be stopped from traveling abroad or living in decent housing. The possibilities for government control are endless when literally every person’s face is being recorded for every little thing they do.

Now, Chinese tech company Alibaba is developing an “individual carbon footprint tracker,” a digital monitor that will track the movements of the public.

The new technology was announced by Alibaba’s President J. Michael Evans, at the annual World Economic Forum (WEF), being held in Davos, Switzerland this week.

While Evans was speaking at a “Strategic Outlook: Responsible Consumption” WEF panel, Evans said that his company is working to produce more surveillance systems in China, apparently to encourage a “greener future.”

“We are developing through technology the ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint… where are they traveling, how are they traveling, what are they eating, what are they consuming on the platform,” Evans said.

Evans added, “stay tuned, we don’t have it operational yet, but this is something we are working on.”

While he did not say whether the CCP would be having data shared by Alibaba, the CCP basically controlled all aspects of what goes on in China and the company would be legally obligated to share that data with them if they wanted it.

According to Evans, Alibaba is also developing “green travel” maps, a system which people are provided “the best route, the most efficient route, and the most efficient form of transportation and then if they take advantage of those recommendations, we will give them bonus points that they can redeem elsewhere on our platform.”

“So, they are incentivized to do the right thing even if they were provided the opportunity to do the wrong thing.” Evans said, but not elaborating on what exactly the company would deem the “wrong thing.”

So, basically a continuation of the social credit score imposed by the CCP.

Of course, these very same people who like to lecture the rest of the world about their alleged impact on the Earth’s climate – fly frequently in private jets, own huge properties and own the companies that have been polluting our air for decades.

They use polluted “science” to push their agenda – which is all about global control and nothing at all to do with the environment. Carbon did not cause “climate change,” that is just the excuse they need to justify spying on the world’s citizens and herding them like sheep.

Apparently, this isn’t about money either, according to Evans, but to “contribute to our ESG (Environmental, social and governance) commitments,” despite China being the number one polluter in the world and committing human rights violations against its citizens and the one million Uyghurs locked in concentration camps.
