President Donald Trump is facing a legal firestorm, with five major court rulings attempting to derail his administration’s aggressive push to dismantle the deep state and rein in government overreach.
From blocking the firing of bureaucrats to protecting birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants, the judiciary is throwing up roadblocks as Trump pushes forward with his America First agenda.
Judges Scramble to Stop Trump’s MAGA Agenda
On Monday, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled that Hampton Dellinger, the fired head of the Office of Special Counsel, must temporarily remain in his role while she considers his lawsuit against Trump.
Meanwhile, U.S. District Court Judge John McConnell Jr. ordered the administration to fully comply with his ruling to unfreeze federal spending, despite Trump’s efforts to cut unnecessary funding and reduce the bloated bureaucracy.
Birthright Citizenship Ban Blocked—for Now
One of Trump’s biggest legal battles is over his executive order ending birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants.
U.S. District Judge Joseph N. Laplante became the third federal judge to block the order, saying he wasn’t persuaded by the administration’s arguments. His ruling is temporary, with a full decision expected soon.
Deep State Fights Back Against Trump’s Federal Workforce Overhaul
Another ruling by U.S. District Judge George O’Toole Jr. prevents the administration from pushing out federal workers, keeping in place an order protecting entrenched bureaucrats who have long resisted Trump’s policies.
Similarly, U.S. District Judge Angel Kelley blocked Trump’s attempt to slash billions from wasteful health research grants, siding with 22 Democratic attorneys general who sued to keep the cash flowing.
Trump Administration Fires Back
The White House isn’t backing down. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt affirmed that Trump’s executive orders on federal spending reviews remain in full force and effect and will be rigorously implemented.
Vice President JD Vance blasted the courts for overstepping their authority, warning that judges have no constitutional right to control executive power.
If a judge tried to tell a general how to conduct a military operation, that would be illegal.
If a judge tried to command the attorney general in how to use her discretion as a prosecutor, that’s also illegal.
Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.

The Legal War Is Just Beginning
With Trump steamrolling the deep state, the courts are desperately trying to slow him down. But this is just the beginning. Legal fights will rage on, and the administration is ready to take the battle all the way to the Supreme Court.
One thing is certain: Trump won’t be backing down anytime soon.
