New Hampshire voters from both parties exposed Democrat Joe Biden as a weak-kneed fraud.
The Obama-era number two fled the scene of the recent primary even before the Democrat votes were counted. It was a cowardly showing that served to highlight the difference between him and the strength and popularity of President Donald Trump, who set a new state record for incumbent primary votes cast in his favor.
And while Biden slithered out of New Hampshire to plead his case in South Carolina, the incident echoes the Obama-era flunky’s false bravado when he once told the media he’d take President Trump on in a fistfight. The GOP strongman’s response was epic.
“Crazy Joe Biden is trying to act like a tough guy,” Trump tweeted. “Actually, he is weak, both mentally and physically, and yet he threatens me, for the second time, with physical assault. He doesn’t know me, but he would go down fast and hard, crying all the way.”
The Democratic Party is filled with big-mouthed cowards, and it doesn’t take a polygraph to pick them out. Biden was recently humiliated in Iowa, where he finished a distant fourth in his party’s caucus. Garnering only 15 percent of the vote and a meager 6 delegates called into question his bold talk about sweeping the Electoral College in a head-to-head campaign against the incumbent.
But after stumbling to fifth place with 8.4 percent and zero delegates to his credit in New Hampshire, Biden showed his yellow side. There’s a reason this will likely be his third failed bid at assuming the mantle of Commander in Chief. He lacks the backbone to lead.
“It’s sad to see where he is in this campaign, but this strategy I think is going to blow up in his face,” former Obama advisor and CNN commentator Van Jones said. “Listen, he’s doing this rope-a-dope strategy, ‘I’m just going to get pounded in Iowa, I’m going to get pounded in New Hampshire, and I’m going to come back based on black people kind of lifting me over this sort of, all these deficits.’ And maybe it’ll work for him, but it’s a very odd strategy, it’s a very weird strategy, and I don’t know if he knows that African-Americans are watching TV at night and see you can’t get white votes.”
Biden appears to be counting on African-American voters to restore his campaign’s credibility in South Carolina. But he may be forgetting that his policies as a Senator resulted in African-Americans suffering disproportional incarceration, and the recent public disclosures that he backed racists, segregationists, and praised suspected Ku Klux Klan members must sting the Black community. Even having served under the first African-American president cannot erase his personal misdeeds. By contrast, President Trump appears to be riding unprecedented popularity among voters.
“Nine months from now, we are going to retake the House of Representatives, we are going to hold the Senate, and we are going to keep the White House,” Trump said at a massive New Hampshire rally. “To support working families, we have reduced the cost of childcare, expanded paid leave, and given 40 million American families an average of $2,200 more in their pockets thanks to the Republican child tax credit. We are the party of equal opportunity for all Americans. While the extreme left has been wasting America’s time with this vile hoax, we’ve been killing terrorists, creating jobs, raising wages, enacting fair trade deals, securing our borders, and lifting up citizens of every race, color, religion, and creed!”
Although no serious challenger in the GOP exists, President Trump racked up gaudy primary support in New Hampshire while Biden slunk away. The president earned 85.6 percent of the Republican vote and all 22 delegates. But what is particularly astonishing is that his tally more than doubled Obama’s when he was running relatively unopposed for re-election. The vote disparity stands at 49,000 for Obama to 129,000 for President Trump.
Not only did Trump outpace the once-popular Obama, but his numbers are far superior to others in New Hampshire as well. During their successful re-election bids, George W. Bush earned 53,962, and Bill Clinton pulled 76,797. Both won handily in the general election. Many political pundits see this as a sign that the base is energized, and landslide re-election is inevitable for President Trump.
What must have Democrats — besides Biden — quaking in their collective boots is the fact President Trump’s approval ratings recently reached a record high.
