He continued: “In 2025 we saw a 210% increase in gang takedowns from MS-13 and Tren de Aragua, and now just weeks into 2026, we’re announcing another 3-month takedown operation.”

The FBI under Patel is focused on mission: protecting Americans from violent criminals. Not investigating parents at school board meetings. Not chasing political opponents. Not serving as the enforcement arm of the Democratic Party.

The Minneapolis Connection
One of the arrests ties directly to the chaos in Minneapolis.
An alleged Latin Kings member was charged in federal court in Minnesota this month with being a felon in possession of a firearm and theft of government property.
What did he steal? A rifle. From an FBI vehicle.
Remember the reports about Minneapolis “rioters” destroying and stealing equipment from federal agents? This is the follow-through. They found him. They arrested him. He’s facing federal charges.
While Democrats were comparing agents to Nazis, gang members were stealing their weapons. Now those gang members are in custody.

The FBI specifically noted that a Latin Kings member “explicitly threatened a law enforcement officer in October 2025.”
He was arrested.

Under previous leadership, he might have gotten a plea deal and been back on the street in months. Under Trump’s DOJ, he’s gone for 21 years.
The Milwaukee Haul
FBI Milwaukee’s contribution to Operation Broken Crown was particularly impressive.
Five residential search warrants executed. Four Latin Kings members arrested for drug trafficking and firearm possession. Ten firearms seized. More than $120,000 in illicit funds recovered.
Then they went back and arrested two more gang members tied to the case.
What they found on the second sweep: a rifle with a machine gun conversion device and a pistol.
A machine gun conversion device. That’s not a hunting rifle. That’s a weapon modified for maximum lethality. It’s now in evidence instead of on the street.
