Democrats prefer to break precedent in order to further their own agendas.
After receiving the Senate’s impeachment articles against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas this week, the Democratic-controlled upper chamber immediately dismissed both articles before a trial could begin.
“Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, would be able to force votes on a full trial as well as establish an impeachment committee,” according to Just the News, which quotes Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., as offering the Senate GOP a deal on the floor. “There would be votes on whether to reject the articles of impeachment. On the floor, Sen. Eric Schmitt, a Republican from Missouri, voiced his objection to voting to drop the charges before a thorough trial.
Mayorkas has maintained that the southern border is safe despite the fact that interactions with migrants have broken records again and again, rapidly intensifying into crises since Biden entered office.
Millions of people were released into American cities by the Biden administration, resulting in severe resource scarcity and major rises in crime. Under the Biden administration, there have been an estimated 8 million border interactions, resulting in the release of 3.5 million migrants into the United States.
“Senate Republicans contended that the body should not establish a rule that makes lying to Congress exempt from impeachment. The dismissal of impeachment articles before the impeachment managers get an opportunity to present their case has never occurred before in U.S. history, according to Sen. Dan Sullivan, a Republican from Alaska. Several senators, notably John Thune, R-S.D., attempted to argue on the Senate floor that the current situation is the “biggest border crisis” in American history since 2021. Sen. Patty Murray, a Democrat from Washington who is in presiding office, said that the Senate was not in a debate and asked for order. Prior to this, on Wednesday, Schumer had urged senators to drop the accusations while permitting a floor discussion on the articles of impeachment.”
It was only a matter of time until Democrats blocked a trial, even if the outcome would not be a conviction, given Joe Biden’s valiant attempts to advance the narrative that Republicans and Trump are the causes of the problem, all to no purpose. A trial would have brought attention to the border crisis and its underlying causes, which is precisely why Democrats wanted to avoid it.
Sensitive Democratic senators, however, have now gone on public to deny responsibility for the border issue due to a lack of a trial. This year, there are close elections for Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.), Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), and Bob Casey (D-Penn.), and surveys indicate that immigration is a major factor influencing voters’ intentions.

So, another tactic might be to set up a coalition of Republicans and willing DemonRats for a hearing to present the facts of the immigration to counter the misinformation by Mayorkas and the Biden Administration. Even if the hearing had to be away from the Capitol Building to avoid DemonRat interference. Airing the immigration grievances and illegalities seems important. However, Mayorkas is merely executing Biden policies, reinforced by Obumer and H. Clinton. So, Biden should be impeached. The threat of conquering America by mass migration is real. Illegals transformed to illegal voters is even more real.
