The city of McAllen, Texas, received more than 1,500 new illegal immigrants into its community last week who tested positive for COVID-19.
The new additions now push the total number to more than 7,000 since February, a number equivalent to one in 20 of the entire community’s population.
“This month, the Texas border city of McAllen said that over 7,000 migrants who tested positive for the virus have been released into the city since February, which includes more than 1,500 migrants in one week this month,” the Daily Wire reported on Monday.
“Single adults and some families have been sent back over the border under Title 42, which allows migrants recently in a country where a contagious disease was present to be expelled. Unaccompanied children and migrant families with young children, however, are being processed and then released into the U.S.” it added.
The new report comes as the CDC recommends even fully vaccinated people wear a mask in certain situations and as many schools require masks on children the entire school day, including on buses. Even the northern and southern borders of the nation are closed due to COVID-19 for more travelers.
But if you’re an illegal immigrant who wants to cross the southern border? Come on in, according to the Biden administration. Who cares if you wear a mask or bring COVID-19 with you and your family.
The contrast could not be stronger. Biden hides in his office fully vaccinated behind a mask while our nation’s southern border remains wide open to COVID-infected illegal immigrants.
Speaking of immigrants, the U.S. has now planned for up to 50,000 Afghan refugees to be housed on American military bases, including more than 10,000 in El Paso, Texas. There’s a good chance that in the hurry to escape death at the hands of the Taliban, not every person was fully vetted, and they certainly were not all tested for COVID-19.
The lockdowns don’t do much good if our nation let’s in 200,000-plus illegal immigrants a month, along with 50,000 refugees from the Middle East. We can all sit in our homes and wash our hands every five minutes and it would not be as good as simply closing the southern border and enforcing current immigration laws.
But that would make too much sense for Democrats. It’s apparently not inclusive enough to turn away illegal immigrants during a pandemic. Instead, we just need to pass $5 trillion or so in new spending so there is enough money to fuel the next election cycle while the country spirals into out-of-control inflation.
And if you complain, it’s just white privilege or white supremacy or just racist, because America is an immigrant nation. Well, that’s partly right. America is a legal-immigrant nation. At least it used to be. Now it’s just an out of control spending society that puts Americans last and cowers to the Taliban.
If Biden was really serious about COVID restrictions, he would close the border. If not, he can talk masks all he wants, but it’s only going to be talk.
