Mainstream media coverage of the Republican National Convention showcases a markedly different tone from coverage of the Democratic National Convention just a week prior.
According to major outlets, the RNC paints a “dark” image of America — one on the edge of complete collapse. On the other hand, those same outlets described the DNC as hopeful, diverse, and innovative. At the same time, even some default liberals have complained that the DNC amounted to little more than a “PBS pledge drive”, and the RNC features serious production value.
Here are just some examples of what reporters had to say about the RNC this week:
- “Republicans warn of chaos if Biden wins: Key moments from the convention’s first night” ~ Politico
- After ominous tone at RNC’s Day 1, Melania Trump set to deliver ‘very uplifting’ speech: Aide ~ ABC News
- Nikki Haley defends darker tone of Republican National Convention
- RNC depicts Trump’s pandemic response as a triumph, paints dark picture of Biden’s ‘socialist’ America ~ NBC News
It really couldn’t be more obvious, could it?
To add more fuel to the fire, the DNC convention and the coverage of it made little to no mention at all of the violent riots that have brought America’s cities down in flames. Speakers including Democratic nominee Joe Biden continue to operate under the absurd assumption that black Americans want police departments scrapped — when the precise opposite has proven to be true.
Two Americas have been on display over the past two weeks — one of which pretends we are all perfectly fine with being cooped up in our homes while radical anarchists torch our businesses and threaten our lives.
Here’s Andrew Klavan with more examples of blatant media bias.
