This week, the former president replied to his most recent indictment by equating the Biden administration with both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.
The former president, who is 77-years-old, was accused of conspiring to defraud the United States, Conspiring to obstruct official proceedings, obstructing and attempting to obstruct official proceedings, and conspiring against rights.
“This constitutes nothing other than the latest corrupt chapter in a continued pathetic effort put forth by the Biden Crime Family along with their weaponized Dept. of Justice to interfere with the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, during which President Trump remains the undisputed frontrunner, and is leading by significant margins,” the Trump Campaign claimed in a statement that Donald Trump himself posted on his social media accounts.
According to the statement, the federal grand jury’s indictment was actually the result of “election interference.”
The statement went on to say that the persecution of President Trump and his followers was “lawless and reminiscent of authoritarian, dictatorial regimes like Nazi Germany during the 1930s, the former Soviet Union, and others.” President Trump has consistently acted in accordance with the law and the Constitution after consulting with a number of very competent attorneys.
The former president declared that “these un-American witch hunts would fail” and that he would take office again to “save our Country.”
Trump has every right, according to the indictment, to contest the election results and make false statements about it. It states that the accusations were connected to specific acts taken by Trump in addition to his making false statements and contesting the outcomes in court.
According to the indictment, six co-conspirators engaged in “criminal efforts to overturn” the election results:
- Co-Conspirator 1, was a lawyer who was prepared to disseminate willfully false allegations and pursue tactics that the 2020 reelection campaign lawyers for the defendant were not.
- Co-Conspirator 2, a lawyer, came up with and tried to put into action a plan to use the Vice President’s official position supervising the certification process to thwart the certification of the presidential election.
- Co-Conspirator 3, an attorney who made erroneous allegations of election fraud, which the Defendant admitted in private to others sounded “crazy.” Nevertheless, the Defendant accepted and made Co-Co-Conspirator 3’s misinformation more widely known.
- Co-Conspirator 4, sought to utilize the Justice Department to initiate phony election crime investigations and sway state legislators with willfully false allegations of election fraud. Co-Conspirator 4 was a Justice Department employee who handled civil cases and worked in the criminal division.
- Co-Conspirator 5, an Attorney who helped develop and attempt to carry out a scheme to submit phony slates of presidential electors in order to disrupt the certification process.
- Co-Conspirator 6, a political consultant who assisted in carrying out a scheme to present false a lists of presidential electors in order to hinder the certification process.
