Tucker Carlson Says This Isn’t Debate, It’s A Spiritual Battle

It’s the Left’s constant goal to end the lives of unborn children, Tucker Carlson said in a recent speech to Christians. He said that the problem of abortion isn’t a “political debate” but instead a “spiritual battle.”

This past week, Tucker Carlson came to Cleveland, Ohio, for the Center for Christian Virtue’s dinner. Throughout his address, Carlson made reference to two ballot issues that Ohioans would be voting on in November: one would permit abortions up to nine months into a pregnancy another would enable anybody over the age of 21 to purchase and consume marijuana.

“I am deeply moved by the initiatives that your voters will have to choose from in November. And they amaze me considering they are so different from the issues I wrote about for most of my life. I’m 54. Carlson stated, “I’ve been writing about this stuff since I was 22.”

“During that time, most of the political arguments were about different ideas for how to make people’s lives better.” He went on, “Both sides at least pretended to try to make people’s lives better so they could vote for them. But who benefits when the two most popular initiatives on the ballot are one that tells parents to kill their children and another that tells those children to use drugs?”

He also said that anybody telling Americans to have abortions is the “enemy” and added that “your own children are the only thing that brings you pure joy.”

He stated, “The main purpose of life is to have kids and watch them have grandchildren. That will make you happy more than anything else. Nothing compares. Have you ever thought about trading your job for your kids? Would you trade anything for your kids? Without a doubt not.”

Carlson went on to say that abortion is a “religious rite” that has been around for “as long as time.”

“It’s written about in great depth in the Hebrew Bible. It’s human sacrifice, which comes up about every four chapters… Without exception, every time this sin of the ancients is talked about, it is called detestable,” he stated.

“Every civilization in the world has done it,” he said. “The archaeological record tells us that the one thing that has always been true in human society is the murder of children and the killing of children.”

Carlson asked how countries throughout history could all come up with the idea of killing their children to get “power, happiness, and contentment,” since this “goes against the need of evolutionary biology.”

“In fact, wanting to kill one’s own children is not a normal human trait. That is an idea or a drive that was put forward,” he said. “There have always been outside forces trying to persuade people that giving up their children will make them happy and safe. This is true in every society on Earth.”

“That is specifically what an abortion is. It is a religious ceremony,” he said. “Now they’re saying that abortion is a way to happiness. Are you sure? We’re not arguing about politics; this is a fight of the souls. There is no other way to look at it.”

  1. As usual, Tucker Carlson is SO very RIGHT! This battle for the minds – the very souls and heartbeats of the unborn and their parents, has always been with us, but never so very blatantly touted as a GOOD thing. Formerly abortion was promoted as a “lesser of two evils” kind of process – but now, well, when it is called “health care” we know from whence it comes. KUDOS! – to Tucker and all who are in this fight on the side of the innocent unborn. And will also say – I sorely MISS his presence, now having to search for his commentary more diligently…!

  2. There is a Spiritual battle going on and praying for an end to abortions at any stage is so important everyday. We need the unborn to share their lives and talents.

  3. I am extremely proud of Tucker Carlson. He is not afraid to speak the truth. We are in a spiritual warfare. It is time to speak out against the evil influences of Satin. He is here. Too many young lives are being destroyed. The murder of babies through abortion and the morbid death of education replaced by the evil teachings of sexual disinformation. The destruction of the family leads to the destruction of civilization. “GO TUCKER’

  4. I’m a retired obstetrical charge nurse. I’ve seen newborns of many different stages of development and gestational age. Each was precious!
And if God Almighty says child sacrifice for personal “choice” is an abomination, I agree wholeheartedly!

  5. The blood of these little ones calls from the dirt as did Abel’s. The land of America is saturated with the blood of the innocents…God forgive us and heal our land.

  6. As much as I miss you on FOX, I am delighted that God is using in an incredible way to share the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May God bless you as you fight this spiritual warfare.

  7. You are right on; keep up the good work with your free speech while you still have it.
Our young people need more people to guide them to a better life, morally, spiritlly and humanly.
