House Dems who oversaw the investigation into Trump’s involvement in the Capitol riot on January 6th express concern for their safety and potential incarceration in the event of his reelection.
In a recent article, they expressed concern to CBS News about a Trump tweet from March 18 on Truth Social, in which he stated that former Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) “should go to prison with the other members of the unselect committee!”
Representative Adam Schiff (Dem-CA), who has continuously funded all Democratic investigations and attempts to remove Trump from office, said to the network, “My wife and I have talked about what life might look like in the worst-case scenario. It is impossible to escape the discussions about “What if?” In addition, I have to consider my own personal security.
Pete Aguilar, the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, stated that he took the possibility of going to jail seriously, but he also made light of the fact that the jail is near the Capitol and that his family would visit him “no matter where I am.”
Rep. Zoe Lofgren, a Democrat from California and another member of the committee that looked into the events of January 6, stated she thinks Trump will follow through on his promises.
After testifying before the Committee, Michael Fanone, the former law enforcement analyst for CNN, told CBS News, “He is going to weaponize the DOJ and use it to go after folks like myself.” He is outlining his intentions for us in detail.
Harry Dunn, a former member of the US Capitol Police who is currently a Democrat seeking Congress from Maryland, told CBS News that “anyone who has testified against him or said something in a public role should be scared.” “It is a little scary to think of, but you have to keep doing the right thing,” stated the politician-in-waiting and former police officer.
In a statement, a Trump spokesperson informed CBS News that their “entire narrative is a lie”:

Democrats began these shinnanigans, even lied to perpetuate false data to the people, law enforcement and used leftist attorneys to falsley charge Trump supporters with crimes for simply being suporters. Baring false witness is a crime and a waste of law enforcement energies that can be best served investigating real crimes. If Democrats are concerned and running scared? Perhaps there is a damn good reason to be? If the shoe fits, wear it…. There just my be a new sheriff in town?

Desolve the Depts. of Education, Internal Revenue Service, downsize the EPA;fire all top level management (down to 6th level) in the FBI, DOJ, and ENERGY. Build the wall, stop paying illegal immigrants with taxpayer $$$. Expand ICE and BORDER CONTROL. There is more, but everyone needs to vote for people who will get these tasks done

Its the typical reaction of criminals, when they commit a crime they run for cover, try to hide, conceal themselves. As for Trump weaponizing the DOJ, the DOJ is already weaponized by the democrats.
