Biden’s Health Triggers Secret D.C. Meetings

The recent investigation into Biden concluded that no criminal charges were warranted. However, President Joe Biden’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer criticized the report for what he viewed as unnecessary and pejorative comments regarding Biden’s memory.

During an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Bauer described the report as “off the rails” and a “shabby work product.” He was particularly critical of the report’s insinuation that President Biden could present himself as a “well-meaning, sympathetic, elderly man with a poor memory” in defense against any potential charges. The report also cited instances where investigators claimed the president’s memory had lapsed, including confusion over the date of his son Beau’s death. This particular reference to Beau Biden, who President Biden often speaks about with open grief, was met with anger from the President.

Bauer, who is married to Anita Dunn, a top White House aide, raised his concerns over these details with both Special Counsel Hur and Attorney General Merrick Garland. He argued that including such details violated Justice Department norms meant to prevent prejudicing the public against people not charged with a crime. However, these appeals were unsuccessful.

The context of Biden’s age and capability has been a topic of discussion among voters and within the Democratic Party. In response to concerns about the 81-year-old president’s age and readiness, Democrats have been affirming Biden’s capability as commander in chief and questioning the motivations behind portrayals of him as feeble. A letter from First Lady Jill Biden to donors, questioning whether the comments in the report were politically motivated, reportedly generated significant donations for Biden’s campaign.

Former Trump Deputy A.G. Rod Rosenstein defended the report,” noting that criminal investigations often uncover information that doesn’t cast subjects in a favorable light, but such information typically remains sealed in Department of Justice files. The special counsel process, however, leads to the publication of such details.

Bauer also suggested that political pressure might have influenced the Justice Department’s handling of the case, especially given the ongoing prosecution of former President Trump. He questioned whether the special counsel included certain details in the report to appease a political constituency, given the external pressures and attacks on the law enforcement process.

The Justice Department has not commented on the criticism raised by Bauer. The report’s release and the subsequent reactions highlight the complex interplay between legal proceedings, political perceptions, and public communication in high-profile investigations involving political figures.

  1. Why with both Biden’s and Pelosi’s Money Flow from Foreign Sources, are they still in the Employ of the United States of America’s Government? Why are they, and a Whole lot more Politicians, Freely walking around in Public and not in Jail?

    1. I beleve that the U. S. Government people in Washington D. C. have abanded the people that they swore an Oath to serve.
The party is more importent that the people that HIRED them to take care of this Country and its people !
The U. S. Government Employes think that the common people are STUPED and can think for them self…
Look what is starting to happen wright NOW, other states are offering to send assistence to the state of Texas to close the border a gain INVASION of criminals…

  2. Personally, after what Biden did to this country with not only open borders, but selling our reserves of oil to China, he deserves to be criminally charged for all offenses. He is the one that is going after Trump with all these made up indictments, now he should also be charged for those same crimes, if they are crimes! Biden had much more sensitive correspondence in his garage! I bet hunter took advantage with Joe and sold secrets to Ukraine!

    1. I am sympathetic to your position, but my real wish is to have someone capable and credible to be our next president…neither Biden or Trump deserves the job.

  3. Not a political person, but I do know my world was better with Trump. Now I do not feel safe leaving home, especially alone. I find it very hard to make ends meet. I an shocked at how expensive everything is now. I am also 81, am forgetting things and finding it harder to do what was easy for me before. I am in very good shape mentally and physically for my age, but I wouldn’t take on a job being responsible for millions of citizens , Not Illegals. And neither should Biden!

    1. Very well spoken! I agree with you. I am going on 76 years young, and have not been satisfied with Biden and others in the White House!

  4. There are so many crooks in our government, that I truly believe we need to replace all of them, Starting with the president and working our way down the line. We are sick of crooks, thieves, murderers, scam artists, liars, and all the other words I can’t think of at the moment to describe the deceit going on in Washington. We need to reboot and start over with decent people who truly love and believe in America.
