Representative James Comer (R-KY) expects a report detailing criminal charges against President Joe Biden “very soon.”
Comer gave an update on the House Oversight Committee’s inquiry into Hunter Biden, the president’s second-eldest son, during an appearance on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures. In her capacity as chair of the committee, Comer proposed that “Joe Biden’s accountability will be the next step.”
It’s no secret, in my opinion, that Joe Biden is a prolific criminal, and I predict that you will soon see an investigation into this. That report will be out soon,” Comer stated. “It will most likely be an interim report that provides everyone with an update on the crimes that Biden and his administration have committed over the course of this investigation and the Obama-Biden administration.”
When host Maria Bartiromo questioned why the committee wouldn’t utilize its subpoena authority to question the president in further detail, Comer clarified that it wasn’t that easy.
“We have summoned each and every associate.” Joe Biden is the only person we haven’t spoken to. According to Comer, Democrats would not have subpoenaed Donald Trump, as you are aware, or they would not have succeeded in doing so. “However, I believe that everything we’ve done in our interviews and depositions has been really substantive and will be very helpful in terms of accountability.”
Hunter Biden is currently defending himself in criminal court against three firearms-related felonies. Authorities accuse Biden of fabricating information on federal paperwork about his drug use to secure a firearms license. Prosecutors claim that at the time he had the pistol, he was unharmed and purportedly disposed of it close to a school.
If proven guilty, the first son could spend months or even years in prison. Biden previously rejected a plea agreement pertaining to the allegations.
