Final Warning! Team Biden On Edge

This week marked the last warning to AG Merrick Garland to submit to subpoenas for the audio recording of President Joe Biden’s meeting with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

If Garland refuses to cooperate, he will face contempt for Congress proceedings. James Comer (R-KY), the chair of the House Oversight Committee, and Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chair of the Judiciary Committee, wrote Garland.

Republicans claim that in order to oversee the president’s classified document controversy, they must have access to both the tape and the transcript of Hur’s interview with Biden’s book ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer, which Biden’s Justice Department had previously pledged to disclose, according to Axios. Republicans penned:

“The DOJ is in possession of a limited and specific set of documents related to Special Counsel Robert K. Hur’s investigation into President Biden’s ‘willful’ misuse of classified documents. On February 27, 2024, the Committee on Oversight and Accountability and Committee on Judiciary issued subpoenas to you. You continue to give a poor answer to the subpoenas, implying that you are hiding information for political gain and to spare President Biden from political humiliation.”

They went on, “We will have no choice but to launch contempt of Congress proceedings if the Dept. continues to withhold records to the Committees’ subpoenas—especially the audio of Special Counsel Hur’s audio interviews with President Joe Biden and Mr. Zwonitzer.”

The legislators said, “In order to prevent this, the committees want you to deliver all responsive information no later than 12:00 p.m. on April 25, 2024.”

According to a transcript that Breitbart News was able to get, Biden, 81, had at least seven instances of mental errors and “bad recollection” during the president’s interview with Hur.

After completing its inquiry in February, Hur found that Biden had “willfully” held onto sensitive papers, but he chose not to prosecute him due to “insufficient evidence.” Hur described Biden’s recall as that of “an elderly man.”

A recent Harvard/Harris survey revealed that roughly one-third of Democrats question Biden’s mental health. According to a different survey, 82% of Americans worry about their physical and mental well-being.
