Mexico Bucks Trump’s Migrant Plan – But He Has an Ace Up His Sleeve

Mexico is refusing to accept U.S. plans to send Mexican migrants to Guantánamo Bay, Foreign Minister Juan Ramon de la Fuente announced Tuesday. Instead, Mexico has demanded that the U.S. return its citizens directly to Mexico rather than detaining them at the notorious Cuban facility.

The Mexican government formally delivered a diplomatic note to the U.S. embassy in Mexico outlining its position. But it’s clear that President Donald Trump and his administration are moving full steam ahead with their crackdown on criminal illegal aliens.

Trump’s Promise: Guantánamo to Hold 30,000 Criminal Illegals

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed Tuesday that the first flights carrying detained illegal migrants have already departed for Guantánamo Bay.

“Today, the first flights from the United States to Guantánamo Bay with illegal migrants are underway,” Leavitt told reporters.

She reaffirmed that Trump, Homeland Security Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Vice President Kristi Noem are delivering on their promise to detain dangerous criminals who have broken U.S. immigration laws and committed violent crimes against American citizens.

“This administration is utilizing Guantánamo’s capacity for criminal illegal aliens who have further committed heinous crimes,” she said.

The Left and Globalists Are Losing Their Minds

As expected, Trump’s expansion of Guantánamo Bay has sparked global outrage. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel raged against the move, calling it an “act of brutality” and slamming the U.S. for its “illegal occupation” of Guantánamo.

Meanwhile, left-wing activists and international organizations are up in arms over the plan, citing allegations of human rights abuses from the Bush-era War on Terror.

What they’re ignoring? Trump’s plan isn’t about politics—it’s about national security.

Gitmo’s New Role in the Trump Era

Under Trump’s new executive order, Guantánamo is being expanded to hold up to 30,000 detained migrants. These aren’t just border-jumpers looking for work—they are criminal aliens who have committed violent crimes inside the U.S.

Reports confirm that two flights have already departed, including a dozen criminal aliens from Fort Bliss. The migrants will be held separately from the 15 terrorist detainees still at the facility, including 9/11 plotters.

America’s Security Comes First

Trump isn’t backing down in the face of international outrage. He’s doing exactly what he promised—removing criminals from American streets and putting national security above political correctness.

With Mexico pushing back, the real question is: Will Trump force Mexico’s hand, or will the Guantánamo expansion become the new normal?

One thing is certain—America First means protecting Americans, no matter how much the globalists cry.
