Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) told his fans that Texas is a political stress test for the whole country as he pushed for re-election.
Interviewed this week in a North Dallas café, the lawmaker—who is running for reelection to the Senate a third time in 2024—discussed the high stakes in his contest.
After speaking with Fox News Lawrence Jones over the border problem, Cruz said, “If Texas goes blue, the country will be gone. We don’t worry about what will happen in Ohio or Florida in the event Texas goes blue,” the senator said.
Two Democrats, Representative Colin Allred (D-TX) and Texas state Senator Roland Gutierrez, are running for the Democratic nomination for the 2024 Senate race. Gutierrez stands for a district that includes Uvalde, which is a town where the shooter killed 19 kids as well as two teachers at an elementary school this past year.
Abortion and gun regulation are two of the topics the Democrats are discussing.
With the Senate seat up for grabs, Cruz said that his run in 2024 would be a “real fight,” adding that “Democrats have begun to set their attention on the great state of Texas.” Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, “has made it quite clear that he considers me the No. 1 target in this country who he wishes to take out,” he said.
Cruz unsuccessfully ran for president in 2016, but he won his second term in the US Senate in the year 2018 against former Representative Beto O’Rourke (D-TX), who raised an unprecedented $80 million and came within 3 percentage points of beating Cruz.
“The 2018 Senate race cost more than any other in U.S. history,” Cruz said. “Two times as much was spent as we had. Tens of millions of dollars came into the state of Texas from Democrats.”
Cruz said that the number of Democrats who voted “more than doubled” from 1.8 million to 4 million, what he called “unprecedented.” His words added that Republicans “leaned in aggressively” and increased the number of Republicans who voted from 2.8 million to 4.2 million.
Cruz said that he won by 0.2 points, or 200,000 ballots, out of the over 8 million that were cast. “In the following year, they plan to spend $100 million in an attempt to paint Texas blue,” he stated.
Cruz stated that “Democrats are setting their sights on my race in Texas. He then asked people to check his campaign page and help him win re-election.”
I have been a voter over 60 years, I do not think I have ever seen this much corruption in DC in my lifetime. /we are on ballot against Liberals and Communism take over. What the Heck are we think about in America. Never thought we would go down this road, and what the heck all for Money and protecting Family Criminals.. Biden needs to kick his Drug Relation to the curb and get head out of bottom and hope it don’t get any worse till we can get rid of them.
And lose 10% of billions.

I have been a voter over 60 years, I do not think I have ever seen this much corruption in DC in my lifetime. /we are on ballot against Liberals and Communism take over. What the Heck are we think about in America. Never thought we would go down this road, and what the heck all for Money and protecting Family Criminals.. Our forefathers who understood human nature far better than most people today, understood the consequences of living in a moral-less society, and they were blesses with the wisdom to put together a Constitution and Bill of Rights which provided as great a liberty as any government on earth has ever had, yet we (and our parents going back many generations now) have squandered those liberties; selling them for a supposed “security”, leaving us today with a government that is more socialist then a Republic.
The fall progressed rapidly after prayer was removed from our schools and replaced with “humanism”, then we allowed the Ten Commandments to be taken away, first from the schools then from all public buildings. And the result is a nation of hedonism, sexual perversions (which even some churches embrace now), and the murder of thousands of innocent lives (sacrifices to the god of ‘sex’). Will we ever learn? PROBABLLY NOT!!!
