Everyday Americans know that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s so-called “Jan. 6” probe is another in a long line of political scams. The country suffered through the Russian Collusion witch hunt as Democrats and their co-conspirators in the FBI orchestrated a ruse that former President Donald Trump was in league with our adversary. After two phony impeachment pushes and years of daily misinformation from the fake news media, the Capitol breach cover-up may be worse than the trespassing crime. That’s largely because left-wing media outlets are trying to divert blame away from Speaker Pelosi.
CNN has been running its scripted narrative since January that accuses or insinuates the former president is solely to blame for the breach of security. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Reports indicate that Trump offered to send upwards of 10,000 National Guard troops to reinforce security as the ranks of the angry protestors swelled. Multiple sources, including Capitol security officials, confirm that Pelosi refused the support because of the political “optics.” But what may be more troubling than the fact Capitol security plead for support and Trump offered, Pelosi’s culpability is now being covered up by prominent media outlets.
PolitiFact, often referred to as “Politi-Lie” these days, ran a disinformation piece under the headliner, “No proof Trump requested 10,000 Guard troops for Jan. 6 or that Pelosi denied it.” That’s a particularly easy piece of left-wing propaganda to push because the offer was reportedly made during a conversation.
“We said to the Department of Defense, the top person, days before we had the rally … I requested … I definitely gave the number of 10,000 National Guardsmen,” Mr. Trump reportedly said. “I think you should have 10,000 of the National Guard ready. From what I understand, they gave it to the people at the Capitol, which is controlled by Pelosi. And I heard they rejected it because they didn’t think it would look good. So, you know, that was a big mistake.”
What’s inescapable is the fact that Pelosi was the decision-maker on-site, and she bears full responsibility for not deploying adequate security. Avoiding the political blowback for yet another poor decision is why she refused to seat Congressmen Jim Jordan and Jim Banks. Both Republicans spoke directly to the American people and confirmed Pelosi denied critical support. They planned to ask questions regarding the chain of command, troop support and put Pelosi on trial for denying multiple requests.
Even as we speak, Pelosi refuses to allow certain Capitol police leaders to speak at her partisan Jan. 6 hoax. And the fake news media has repeatedly called a stinging letter sent to Congress “anonymous” and “unconfirmed” to undermine its credibility, even though D.C. insiders know Pelosi would have anyone who attached their name fired.
“The police response to January 6th represents a disastrous collapse of leadership that was not simply an aberration confirmed to one day. It was months and years in the making. To fully understand why our officers felt so abandoned, requires an understanding of how they came to be left uninformed and lacking in defenses when it mattered most — when an attack on the U.S. Capitol was fully realized,” United States Capitol Police Labor Committee Chairman Gus Papathanasiou released in a statement. “Most importantly, we arrived at that position of vulnerability because the voices of the rank-and-file-officers had been ignored for years.”
She already demanded that Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund resign or be fired, which he did. Pelosi’s latest charade may rank among the worst political cover-ups in history. It’s barely begun, and it already looks like a re-run of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
