Hunter’s Defense Team Crumbles Due To Internal Drama

Joshua Levy, the president’s son’s esteemed criminal defense lawyer, is supposedly no longer employed by Hunter Biden as a result of “unease and dissent” that reportedly afflicted the legal defense team, which included at least four attorneys.

The infamous Biden family business member is no longer represented by Levy, who had been engaged to concentrate on blocking congressional probes that try to disclose the intricacies of the family’s company machinations, according to a Wednesday New York Times report.

Bickering within Hunter’s legal team, notably with Abbe Lowell, who had been hired back in Dec. to defend him as well as the Biden family against a total of nine congressional probes, that included laundering money and wire fraud, is said to be the reason Levy withdrew from the case. Lowell has previously defended well-known people embroiled in political scandals, including Jared Kushner and Bill Clinton.

Levy was allegedly not happy with Lowell’s legal methods and worried that they would fail. Some opponents viewed Lowell’s involvement in the campaign to send Tony Bobulinski, Rudy Giuliani, as well as 12 others “litigation hold” letters in February to save the “Laptop from Hell” files as a public relations ploy to reverse the negative perception of the Biden family.

Those letters were a “desperate, foolish, and comical” endeavor, according to Mike Davis, creator and president of a pro-Trump project. He also said they would harm the family’s legal standing because the lawsuit would proceed to discovery.

The Times detailed Hunter’s original decision to work with Levy.

“Bob Bauer, the personal attorney for President Biden, had suggested Mr. Levy for the position. According to a person familiar with the plan, Mr. Levy had disagreements with Kevin Morris, an adviser to Hunter Biden and a lawyer, who had given him money so he could pay his back taxes along with some more bills. Late last year, Mr. Levy left when Mr. Lowell was hired by Mr. Morris and Mr. Biden.”

Along with displacing Levy, Lowell’s participation with Hunter’s defense has caused conflict with Chris Clark, another well-known lawyer who is in charge of Hunter’s criminal defense. In the past, Clark held a partner position at the same law firm in DC, where the husband of Rep. Liz Cheney works. According to Clark’s business description, he is Hunter’s attorney in the “grand jury probe surrounding tax concerns.”

“Chris Clark, Mr. Biden’s primary criminal defense attorney in the Justice Dept. probe, has kept Lowell at a distance in handling that situation,” according to the Times. Just months into the U.S. House Oversight Committee’s inquiry into the Biden family business, Hunter’s team has started to fall apart due to Clark maintaining “a distance” and Levy and Lowell’s departure.

Ian Sams, the White House spokesman responded that Republican inquiries into the Biden family were “politically driven partisan attacks” that “should be brought to light” when asked about Lowell’s involvement in Hunter’s legal defense and the resulting team disarray.
