Former White House Doctor Ronny Jackson, who has treated both former President Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump, has revealed that Joe Biden’s campaign staff are refusing to allow the former VP to receive cognitive testing.
The claim goes against the former VP’s recent statement that he is being regularly tested (but just doesn’t want to show anyone the results). Now, the same news outlets that were clamoring for President Trump to be given a cognitive test got very quiet when calls were turned on the Democratic nominee.
Dr. Jackson candidly noted that he has never examined the former VP in person. Even so, he couldn’t help but remark on former VP Joe Biden’s many symptoms of cognitive decline.
“I think he’s got some cognitive issues,” he said during an interview on The Kyle Olson Show. “But as a concerned American who also happens to be a physician, I’m just going to say it’s concerning to me that he sometimes is not able to complete a sentence, not really know where he’s at or what he’s doing and we’ve seen that countless times now.”
Dr. Jackson isn’t the only one who strongly suspects that former VP Joe Biden is no longer as sharp as he once was. A recent Rasmussen poll showed that nearly 40% of voters believe that the former vice president has dementia. This group includes nearly one of out of three independent voters, and also 20 percent of Democrat voters.
Granted, the fact that many voters have noticed that Biden isn’t “all there” won’t necessarily spell doom for the Democratic Party. There are plenty of voters who hate President Donald Trump so much that having a POTUS with dementia isn’t an issue to them. However, there are some, including Dr. Jackson, who cannot justify suck a risk.
Dr. Jackson has a bit of advice for the Biden campaign: Don’t allow the former Vice-President to debate President Donald Trump. While the former VP has said that he is eager to compare his cognitive capabilities with Trump, Dr. Jackson gave President Trump a cognitive exam two years ago and says that the president is not experiencing cognitive decline. However, it’s unlikely that the DNC will be willing to listen to someone who isn’t fawning over their candidate.
