Trump Just SMASHED Obama’s Presidential Fundraising Record

President Donald Trump raked in around $125 million in fundraising for the third quarter of this fiscal year, nearly doubling former President Barack Obama’s previous record set in 2011.

There are a lot of factors that go into this, but let’s start with the most obvious one: Trump’s base is more fired up than ever before, and Congressional Democrats are mainly to blame for this. By constantly doubling down on crazy conspiracy theories, and now moving into an impeachment inquiry, these Americans are actually worried for the future of their country. And if Trump knows how to do anything, it’s capitalize on things like this.

Of course, fundraising isn’t everything — Hillary Clinton had a much larger campaign war chest than Trump did in 2016, and we all know that election’s result. But, it does speak to the reactionary nature of American politics right now. By moving forward with the impeachment inquiry, Democrats aren’t winning anyone over. The party’s base is exactly where it was months or even years ago. If anything, the defections are happening if favor of the other side…

There’s a lot to unpack here, and the impeachment inquiry is really only the start of it. The truth of the matter is that this fundraising avalanche picked up steam a long time ago, and this could only be the beginning.

What does this all mean for the upcoming election and the country at large?

Here’s Tim Pool with more on the story.
